I highly recommend Villa D’Arcos for a stay. The property is beautiful, the pool is perfect after a long day of walking on the Camino (open in October when we were here). The staff is top notch and so friendly and accommodating. The food was great and an overall wonderful vibe-all the other guests were lovely and had comfy and cozy but elevated high end feel. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

The shared dining experience with other guests, the delicious food and wine and our amazing host. I was too tired to eat but the host persuaded me to join the evening meal. i'm so pleased i did. it was delicious and uplifting to share the meal with other pilgrims after a very tiring first day on the camino. simply wonderful.

Good location right on the Camino trail. Very nice swimming pool.
No water pressure in my shower. Was barely able to have a shower.
The owner needs to advise guests of the cost of the meal in advance, that wine is not included in the price, that you will be charged by the glass, that she takes cash only and she will drive guests to the ATM after their meal if they don’t have cash. It was the most expensive meal I have had in Portugal and it did not feel like the spirit of the Camino.

"Sehr schönes, gepflegtes Haus. Schöner Pool, wunderschöne Zimmer. Die Hausfrau ist super nett und bekocht ihre Gäste. Abendessen sehr gut zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Direkt am Camino!"
