AMANEK Beppu YULA-RE

Great location. Spacious room. Amazing breakfast.

Facilities amazing: free public baths, pool etc! They provide a yukata and the Japanese ‘pyjamas’, the rooms are big and the hotel is big and quiet. Location is great right in the centre and close to the train station. Close to lovely cafes and restaurants. Architecture is also lovely and modern.

Nothing, just terrible weather which meant I could not use the pool or the top floor at all :( and I was only in Beppu one night! a real bummer

Great location, nice onsen

Rooftop bar was closed

This was a very nice hotel on the surface. However as others have said the rooftop bar that us advertised widely throughout the hotel was not open and although the pool is beautiful there is no shade from the extreme heat so it’s not really usable. The breakfast was good and the staff were fine. Our room unfortunately smelled very, very damp. It was like it may have had a leak? I didn’t mention it at the time because we were only there for the night and the smell was alleviated somewhat by the dehumidifier. All in all this is a nice, well located hotel that is just missing a little attention to detail.

They could have been factual about the pool bar being closed.
