The old building was lovely and well maintained. Our room was very large with a big comfy king bed with a cozy duvet.
The service at the reception and restaurant was great and the people were lovely. They even took our bags up to our room which was appreciated after a long hike on the Cotswold Way. A very nice experience.

Perfect location on Cotswold Way. Clean nice rooms. Outstanding staff. Great bar. Great restaurant. Fun to meet local clients.

The location is exellent, and we had the suite which is magnificent. Maybe the best room we had during our 14 different stays on our trip. Didn't have dinner there as we ate at "The Sauce" which is not to be missed when in Painswick. Best dinner on the whole trip.
Breakfast was ok, but nothing really special.

A lovely old building with lots of character. The room was well appointed and the bathroom was lovely.
The road noise was so bad, I hardly slept all night. The windows are old and single pane and the road is right outside, meaning every car, motorbike, bus and lorry sounded like it was in the room. The window was covered only by a thin blind but really needs a thick lined curtain at the very least to at least try to diminish the level of noise. This was supposed to be the best room in the hotel (The Suite) but guests should be pre-warned about the noise - I would have happily moved rooms just to get a decent nights sleep.
