Sudhanshu is a great host!

The best stay so far. Nothing bad to say.

Great staff. Very helpful. Beautifully maintained hotel/homestay. Has a great view of the snow capped mountain from the room. The room is fairly large, with good facilities. The food served (paid/ordered) in the dining room is very tasty. The mural on the front wall is fantastic.

The approach from the main road is a slightly tricky one - need to be careful while driving uphill. Preferred payment method is cash, would be better if UPI is also preferred.

The homemade food was spot on to energize weary travelers and was great in both quantity and quality. The location was breath-taking as one could see the snow-capped mountains of the Kinner-Kailash and adjacent mountains. Also, the property is just at the road head so bus travelers and board/de-board the bus just near it. The rooms were very clean, spacious and the owner had provided enough blankets and quilts for a colder night. The reception area was all covered with paintings and maps of nearby areas and thing to look forward to. In addition, to the things mentioned above the owner is very friendly and provided with efficient services. He also shared a list of things one can do while enjoying their stay.

I don't think there is anything that I personally did not like during my stay at the property.

The stay had all the necessary stuff we could ask for, from hot water supply in a clean bathroom to simple but tasty home cooked meals for both breakfast and dinner (food cost was exclusive of the room cost, but still very reasonable). It also has a balcony to relax outside - the room provided to us gave a direct view to Mt Raldang. You are also set as the room is also equipped with Wi-Fi, in case the weather conditions are not great to step out. Even after being in close proximity to Reckong Peo market within a kilometer, you would get a proper feel of wilderness to the area too while taking casual walks outside in the pine forests. But that does not mean it is too far - buses stop right outside in an interval of every 30minutes that could take you to the city or upwards to Kalpa. Lastly, the stay owner Sudhanshu and the helping staff were very hospitable and took care of any queries or requests we made such as providing extra facilities as room heaters etc. (for a small charge of course). This overall is a great stay - that too at a reasonable budget!

Very nice family run hotel / homestay in Kalpa, with great mountain views, slightly away from the town centre. The rooms are large, clean, have hot water showers, and a great balcony overlooking the valley. The family are friendly and cooked me dinner and breakfast, which was tasty and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend staying here.

The bed was a bit too hard and the wifi was a bit unreliable (but most places I've stayed in Himachal Pradesh don't even have wifi)

good location, great hospitality, parking on-site,fresh home cooked food and the host was very attentive and engaging. Had a good idea of local sight seeing and further itineraries. Every room had a clear view of Kinnaur Kailash range and a spacious balcony to chill.

Everything was good about the property. Rooms and washroom were extremely clean. Breathtaking view from the room balcony. Holy Kinnar Kailash is visible from the property. Food was delicious prepared by the owners themselves. The owner was really polite, helpful and took care of all the requirements.

It was our first time in Himachal and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. It was clean, comfortable and at a good location. Our host Sudhanshu was immensely helpful and helped us with our itinerary. The food was delicious and homely, and you get to meet one of the cutest dogs here named Maggie.

Incredibly cold. Needs a heated common room in the winter. Food was so oily it made me feel sick

In simple word, I love Everything here. Sudhanshu Negi and his father are doing excellent job. View from room is awesome. and the food made by uncle is just perfect. I would love to visit this homestay again. Even they have fulfilled a last minute request at 11 PM in this freezy winter night. Thank you sudhansu and uncle for your effort to make my stay commendable.

Sudhanshu was a very warm and welcoming host. The property was clean and comfortable, his services were up to the mark. And the food made by his father was really good 👌

The only thing that I think is needed is the pickup and drop service, If he can manage provide that, it will be really helpful to the travellers.

Hospitality from the family staff that was really available to give information. They helped us in so many ways to improve our trip. We received so many important advices. Rooms very clean and with an Amazing view of the Mountain from the Windows. Great Place because its close to the bazar bus station and main bus station, shops but also situated in a quiet area. Yummy breakfast and dinner homecooked from the family. The host has a really great heart, he spended lot of time to take care of us and explaining the territory and culture of this region. 100% raccomanded!

Clean, spacious and warm rooms with amazing view. Heater available at extra cost. Sudhanshu is an excellent host and very knowledgeable and helpful regarding places to go, things to do, etc. Meals are very homely and prepared by Sudhanshu’s father, very tasty and simple. Highly recommend to stay here in Reckong. The place is also in the bus route so no separate pick/drop is required, but Sudhanshu can arrange cabs if required.
