The location away from the busyness of Durango was nice. It was mostly quiet with some occasional highway noise and the Durango-Silverton train going by (a few hundred yards behind the property) a few times per day. The townhome was nicely appointed with most everything we needed for a five-day stay. We thought the bed in the master bedroom upstairs was comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and was nice after a day of mountain biking or exploring Mesa Verde. The living room was a comfortable hang out with cable TV and WIFI apps on the TV. The internet service was strong. The kitchen, while small had nearly everything we needed. The full-size LG stacked washer and dryer were very nice and the hosts provided us a few laundry pods. Lastly, the Keurig had several different complimentary coffee pods available. Very nice!

Pre check-in communication could have been better. I asked if the kitchen was equipped with a coffee maker and the company managing the property told us it was not. When I asked why it appeared there were Keurig K-Cups in one of the photos after this response, I received no answer at all. Poor communication is a personal pet peeve. We packed our own Keurig in the car so we could have coffee for our trip. Upon arrival, there was a Keurig in the kitchen. Odd. Check-in was easy and communication was great after that. Oddly, on check-in, I looked inside the washer and dryer and the dryer had quite a bit of dried dirt in the dryer. I wiped it out with a wet paper towel, but there was quite a bit of literal dirt in the dryer. It did make me wonder if the sheets were laundered after the last guest... Communication was great after check-in and they did offer to come clean the dryer.

Wasn’t ready by 4 PM which was my check in time. Door code was too long to memorize quickly.

The property was in a beautiful location and close to The James Ranch and the mountains. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of room to sleep for our family, and easy parking.

The property itself was a little rundown. The tennis courts were inaccessible and the gazebo area was falling apart. The condo was nice but the kitchen was awkward and small. The balcony and porch were dirty and uninviting. The was a huge plastic shower curtain hanging halfway down the lower porch, and the upstairs balcony had dirty furniture and appears unkempt. The front porch had broken lights and could just use some personal touches to fix the small details.

Location was a little far from town but I already knew that.

There was some dog fur on the couch when we got there but it wasn’t a big deal.
