When I went to check in at 8pm I was told my room was given away and they didn’t have anything else available except more expensive rooms. She claimed my booking said I would arrive by 6. I did not fill out the optional question when I booked it asking about what time did I think I would arrive. My reservation with Booking.com said check-in was available 3pm-11pm. The woman at the desk said it was my fault that I lost the room. If you look at your form I filed out I did not put any answer on the optional question about what time did I think I would be checking in because I didn’t know around what time I would check in. I didn’t need to answer that optional question because you guys sent me a confirmation stating I could check-in between 3pm and 11pm. I went elsewhere. I felt she was being dishonest to me and I no longer felt I would be safe if I paid the $30 extra for a larger room I didn’t want and stayed there. They had rent-cops patrolling which also was a clear indicator it was not a safe place to stay. And when the front desk girl is gas lighting you, I decided not to do business with them.

The fact the front desk girl told me that I either had just tried to book it at 8pm or that when I filled out the booking.com form that I put on the optional question that I was going to be checking in by 6pm. I did not put any answer on the optional question about what time did I think I would be checking in. 1. I had no idea about what time I would be checking in. 2. The booking.com said I could check in between 3pm until 11pm. So there was no need to fill out that question. She used gas lighting techniques on me to suggest that it was my fault she gave away my room. She also didn’t realize I could see a reflection of her monitor screen behind her on the reflective wall and although she “acted” like she had pulled up my reservation and it said on there I would arrive by 6pm. But the reflection on the wall showed she had not pulled up anything on her monitor screen because the screen never changed during my visit. She just kept telling me that the only rooms they had available were studios and they were $69 a night. As far I understood their rooms were all the same except some had a single king bed and some had two double beds. She was trying to get me to pay $69 for the $41 room I had booked at booking.com.
