This property was very comfortable like home. It was spotless. Check in was a breeze and communication with owner/management was swift and courteous. Highly recommend.

We had a really nice long weekend at the house. The place was welcoming and clean upon arrival. Plenty of bath towels, toilet paper, kitchen items, dish soap, hand soap, garbage bags and hangers for clothes. We arrived around dinner time, and took a quick jaunt down to the beach in the awesome golf cart before heading to dinner. It was so convenient to load our beach things and people in the golf cart and park at beach access 9. We had a nice dinner at Havana's. Another good restaurant in town is Michael's Seafood. Coffee in the morning from Crush and Grind was good. There's a town park within walking/bike distance via paved trail that has skate ramps, basketball, tennis courts. There are no dressers to put clothes away in, and the room with queen bed on main level had a pretty small night stand table, but otherwise the layout was good and the bedroom upstairs has a huge closet to store suitcases, coolers, etc. Wide driveway was nice. The drive to downtown Wilmington was easy and took no more than 30 minutes. Would stay here again!

This house has everything you need for a great stay! My family was able to be in the lower level with young kids and my parents were able to stay upstairs so that they didn’t have to worry about early bedtimes and wake ups. It was such a great addition to have a little living area for my kids to play when they woke up. The golf cart was an added bonus! Being able to pop on over to the beach was great, and no sand in our car! Thanks for the great time at Carolina Beach!

The property is exactly as shown. Very modern, clean and everything was well equipped. The owner responded to any of our questions promptly. Property is close to restaurants and the ocean. Neighborhood was very quiet and all the neighbors were very friendly. Our dogs enjoyed the nearby dog park.

This property is a modern well appointed home with keyless entry. Two separate living room areas are a huge plus. Location is close to walking parks and only a short golf-cart ride to the beach access. Home is in a very quiet neighborhood and close to the restaurant scene. Would definitely reserve this home in the future.

The house is in a fantastic location, it’s very clean, high end and on a great street. Very close to lots of stuff. The skatepark was 1 street over which my kids loved. Using the LSV (golf cart) made the entire trip fantastic! Being able to park all over the island without ever getting in the car was perfect! We only used our car once to go to Wilmington. The house has lots of chairs, toys, and outdoor shower, so much to do. We will be coming back here again!

Everything highlighted in all of the 5-star reviews are completely accurate! The owners were always quick to respond - before, during, and after our stay. Their home is in excellent condition and extremely well stocked. The golf cart was a lot of fun - made it easy lugging all of our stuff back and forth to the beach (about a mile or so straight down the road). We also used it in the downtown area which was golf cart friendly. Some of our favorite food spots were The Spot Bar & Kitchen (casual) for dinner, Havana's (a little more expensive) and The Peach Cobbler for dessert. Downtown Wilmington is well worth the 30 minute drive and visiting Kilwins (ice cream & fudge shop) is a must. This was our first time vacationing in the Wilmington/Carolina area - definitely recommend. There is something for everyone of all ages!

We absolutely loved our stay this past week! The hosts were fabulous we had a few questions and they responded within minutes! We were just a few blocks from the beach and having access to the 6 person golf cart was such a nice addition to the rental. The house was immaculate and the beds were so comfortable. We loved the open floor plan on the top floor and the balcony off of the living room and master bedroom. Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at starfish and for being such gracious hosts!

I was a little hesitant being so many blocks from the beach but in all honesty the golf cart made it worthwhile. The home was very spacious. The area is golf cart friendly. The home is newly built, so it still has that new space to it. Great home, we would stay there again!

We spent the last week at Carolina Beach at the Starfish Villa#2. The house is beautiful and was clean. It was well furnished with everything you will need. We have learned over the years to take our own frying pan and spatula to use because what is at the rental houses is usually dangerous to use. It was not needed at this house! The walking trail near the house was great and the golf cart was very nice. Thanks to the owners for offering an A+ rental house!

We enjoyed our stay at this home. The proximity to the greenway and the Mike Chappel park was important for us. The golf cart made getting to the beach easy, and you can also use it to travel to the Publix grocery store, the boardwalk, and many restaurants.
The home was very clean with great amenities, including plenty of paper products, linens, and towels. There were beach chairs and a few boogie boards in the garage for guests to use.
Lastly the home has a ground level entry with two of the bedrooms and a small living room on the ground level, which was great for our older dog, who can't do stairs.

The house was perfect for what we needed. Clean, spacious, and well stocked with everything you could possibly need for a beach stay. The golf cart was such an amazing amenity. We were able to zip around town with ease. Neighbors were very friendly and we loved being so close to the park. My kids spent a lot of time at the skate park and fishing at the nearby ponds.

This was a first for all of us to stay at Carolina Beach. The home was beautiful and located close enough without dealing with the heavier traffic on the main strip. The home had all the amenities we could ask for and more! The only complaint we had was that the master bedroom had some hair on the sheets and duvet. We swapped the sheets out with a set we found so it was an easy fix but felt it necessary to advise on since the linen sets are limited. Other than that, it truly was an enjoyable stay. We've already been asked to share the home's online listing by friends and family to book for their upcoming trips. Very thankful for the opportunity to stay at the Starfish Villa.

The golf cart was the family favorite and made it super fun and easy to access the beach and all that Carolina Beach had to offer. This home is absolutely beautiful! We felt like we were staying in a 5 star resort. It was exceptionally clean. The Welcome book gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our stay with our children and children-in-law and the golf cart was a huge plus. We will definitely return to the Starfish Villa!

The property was nice. If you are traveling with dogs, the yard is really small, but the surrounding neighborhood was perfect for walking the dogs. There is also a nearby Greenway that was great for walking them. The golf cart was a big plus.

We rented this property for our family beach vacation (5 adults and 2 children under 2). The property was exactly as pictured, but even more beautiful in person; very well decorated and clean. The hosts did a great job stocking the kitchen; there was no shortage of plates, silverware, cooking utensils, or pots and pans. We had plenty of toilet paper and paper towels. Even spices were available. They left a binder full of information for the area and local attractions which we really helpful. All the beds were very comfortable. Our nephews (both under 2) fit right in; a toddler table and chairs were found in the closet which they loved. The golf cart was a game changer for beach transport and gear; and bopping around town. We were really impressed with this rental! The neighbors are also awesome; could not have been nicer if they tried which made us feel right at home. Definitely recommend this property!!

This is really a wonderful place to stay. The home is very clean and modern, the beds are comfy, the furniture is comfy, and the house is well equipped. There were a few small things not available in the kitchen (measuring cups/spoons), but that's about it. The wifi is fast and reliable if you need to get some work done, even with the kids streaming multiple videos. The golf cart is an awesome perk - free parking at the beach and most everything in the area is golf cart friendly. You really could park your car for the week and never use it if you want. Tons of parking, and the parking is long. You could probably leave a boat trailer on a truck and fit with room to spare. We had four vehicles parked at one point, and the spot in front of the garage was still open to get the golf cart in and out. The neighbors are super friendly as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay with our family of 4 and 2 friends. It was the perfect space for 6. The location is close to everything and the golf cart comes in very handy! The owners have supplied all you need. One of the most well stocked VRBOs I’ve stayed in! The owners were very quick to respond when I had a question from the time we booked through our entire stay. Only thing we found “not working “ was The bikes had flat tires and we couldn’t get the pump to work so we ended up renting 2 bikes for our 14 year olds, but not a big deal. Probably could’ve messaged the owner but chose to just rent some. I do wish there was an outdoor space for all of us to hangout together at the townhouse but really it was an awesome vacation and the property exceeded my expectations!

What a beautiful home in a perfect n’hood!
The best part of our stay had to be when we were unwinding on couch one evening around 9pm these fireworks just started going off from the boardwalk and we were able to enjoy from the couch!! We are early birds (go to sleep like 10) so this was so awesome! My adult boys really enjoyed the stay and appreciated their own space. The bright rooms even with shades closed made it even nicer!! The rooms are very nice and clean!! The golf cart was a lifesaver for us too especially since our dog is older, we only like to walk him about a mile before he tuckers out.

Great property and hosts, but expected much more from the cleaning service.
This is a great house in an awesome location with wonderful amenities, including a large golf cart, beach gear and extras in the garage, and a great outdoor shower for getting rid of sand. Everything about the property itself was wonderful, but we were very disappointed by the level of cleanliness of the property, especially because we were not able to check in until after the 4pm check in time because the cleaning crew was still there. We had five children under the age of 4 staying with us, and the amount of dog hair and dirt left on the floor, couches, in kitchen and bedroom drawers, etc. was not acceptable. Even for a pet friendly rental, we expected a level of cleanliness for our family. The owners did have the cleaners come back to do the floors again, but our babies were still covered in dirt and dog hair any time they were on the floor, and we had to find alternative places for them to crawl and play. Additionally, one of our babies had a reaction to the dog hair and had to be medically treated for our entire stay. Again, we understand this is a pet friendly rental, but to us it felt like it was only pet friendly and not family friendly in terms of cleanliness.

This house is new and has all new furniture and fixtures. It was perfectly clean and ready to go. The upstairs great room was so nice for a big family to spread out and play games or watch Netflix. The owners have really thought of everything you might need in the kitchen and we cooked several meals there. We loved the neighborhood so having the 6-person golf cart to run around was a real treat. The area is very bikeable and we did a lot of exploring on bikes too. We also visited the aquarium and spent a lot of time at the clean beach, which is dog-friendly early morning and evenings.
