So great for families and so close to the water. We made meals, memories and had a blast!

The upstairs balcony was under construction, no relaxing there. Very nice living area connected to the kitchen. No bedroom attached to a bathroom. Otherwise, super close to the beach. About 1 mile from Newport Pier.

Location was awesome! Just a short walk to the beach but the house itself was not nice at all. It was stinky and not very clean. The drains in the kitchen stunk and the drain in the bath tub was plugged. Wouldn’t stay here again.

The beds were good.

The location was great and everything was clean when we arrived. The check in and out process was very easy. We would stay here again if we come back to the area.

The condo is situated a couple blocks away from Newport Beach… NOT steps away from Mission Beach like it says in the description of the vicinity. When you initially look at the maps the property appears to ge close to Belmont park, and it is not. That was a huge inconvenience for my family. Dishes were dirty upon our arrival, shower water was difficult to regulate which caused my niece/nephew to burn themselves with the really hot water. No cleaning supplies provided other than dish soap. The house smelled bad! The parking garage is shared with another VERY EXPENSIVE vehicle and it is SUPER tight!!

First, the reason we picked this particular house was it stated in the description “wheelchair accessible” that is a total lie. There are two steps in front of house and a very narrow walkway from garage, my fathers wheelchair could not access the home. This was very disappointing as my two siblings and I all met at the house I rented with my husband and daughter and two grandchildren and my parents were suppose to stay with us thinking the home was wheel chair accessible. Unfortunately they had to stay in Anaheim at my brothers and drive to Newport every day. The bathrooms were only functionable not the cleanest there’s mold around the tile and floor of the one shower and the one with the bathtub also had mold and residue. The kitchen was nice basic and clean. The family area was exactly as described and clean for the most part. The back porch was nice although the cleaning crew forgot to take doggy bags of poop that were left on the table so that was gross but easily taken care of. Bedrooms were as described and clean beds were comfortable. there was a washer and dryer although the tenant or owner upstairs had their car in the garage where the washer and dryer were and made it very difficult to access it, also was a pain because it was a coin based washer and dryer so gathering change to do laundry was difficult. Location was perfect that was the best thing about the house. I give the house three stars. I would come back, although prepare differently now knowing what to expect. I would definitely change the wording in your description as there is no way this house is wheelchair accessible and that was the biggest disappointment for a family vacation.

Nice getaway, we booked this house for a few days. We did Disneyland one day and beached the other days. It was fun and very close to the beach. Just a heads up if you plan on taking multiple cars, it’s hard finding parking. This house comes with one spot in the garage, however the other car parked inside make it impossible to park a Camry next to it. And if you plan on cooking/ bbqing. I suggesting taking pots. They one only one large one and a few small pans.

The castle house was a great location for our family! Between the ocean and the bay! The house was very clean with comfortable beds.

We loved the location, we were so close to the beach without being right in the sand. The patio was perfect for morning coffee and enjoying wine in the evening. We loved having a garage space. The beds were comfortable. There was plenty of bath towels and beach towels. The kitchen was fully stocked. The was a little maintenance that needed to be done. Some of the recessed ceiling lights were coming out, the vinyl blinds in the front room need replacing, but other than that we were very pleased. I would definitely recommend The Castle Beach House.

Close to the beach , clean house , everything was perfect

Every night homeless people sneak up to the rooftop patio, and then in the morning they sneak back down. There is a gate-free spiral staircase to the rooftop patio and they use it often. Notified the management company, they don’t care and didn’t do anything. It’s a major safety concern, not to mention the nasty smell and the gross piles of stuff up there. STAY AWAY! Wish we hadn’t stayed here :(

Great location and plenty of room. My family stayed for a week. It was very Hot and No A/C. During Labor Day week. at night it was very uncomfortable to the point we almost left and went to a Hotel. Yes you can rent AC units locally but they were already all rented out so we drove 3 hours all over town and finally purchased 4 A/C units Which cost $1,900. This company should offer them or have 1 in the unit. And there was no toilet paper. I talked to the company managing and they said we would have to buy our own. That was ridiculous. Also get $20 in Quarters because they charge to wash laundry. And the parking spot is for a car no larger than a Dodge Durango.

Bad. Lights didn’t work. Ice dispenser didn’t work. Screen door was broken. Didn’t get garage spot due to tenant upstairs. Fell over table that was put in walkway by tenant upstairs. I should be reimbursed for half of my money

Loved the proximity to the beach. And just a short walk in the other direction is food and a liquor store. We will definitely be back !

Property incorrectly listed as sleeps eight & only sleeps 6. We made numerous attempts to contact property manager by phone & email who never called back. My issue remained unresolved for duration of stay. I finally received $100 credit after almost 6-weeks later. No parking space in garage since people who rented upstairs parked in middle of tiny space. And the street parking is nearly an impossibility. You are literally about 50 steps away from beach access & can walk right onto beach from sidewalk. The beds are very comfortable...but bathrooms are very tiny. The property is nice...but do not expect management to respond appropriately to resolve any issues.

Could hear upstairs neighbors pretty easily and the wifi was incorrect and had to be figured out. All in all a wonderful stay for a family of five.
