Our stay was the end of July, in Berlin about 20 min from OC. This was a cute place over all but we did not enjoy part of our stay. At arrival we were locked out, the door had had a passcode and it was not working, even after calling for a reset so all of us had to share 1 emergency key for the first 3 days until Vacasa finally sent someone out to change the padlock. Next the house was DIRTY! You could feel the dirt on the floors, the windowsills had bugs, the pullout mastress was so DISGUSTING we wouldnt even use it. One of the bathroom toilets was still dirty from the ppl who has left earlier. The grill was GROSS and took almost 2 hours to clean. Fresh linens on the dirty floor. Basic essentials missing or just not enough considering we were staying an entire week. I had to buy an oven mitt, we even had to buy our own handsoap! There was barely enough to last half the trip. Considering it was summer and we payed TWICE what this place costs most of the year [upwards or $4500] we expected way better. We spoke to property management and while one guy was trying to help a little his managers saw nothing wrong with all these issues and wanted to do nothing for us. In the end they offered a PARTIAL refund of the cleaning fee which we NEVER recieved. Bookers beware! All this being said i blame the property managers, VACASA. Sorry the owners chose such a terrible company to run their rental.

Couldn’t get into the house for over a hour, once in the house, it was filthy, dirty diapers and linens on the floor/trash. Refrigerator was filthy, bathroom sinks didn’t drain, master shower you had to duck to get your head under water. Wi-Fi didn’t work for most of the stay. Then you had to pay to use the pools, that wasn’t disclosed til after the booking. Would have cost us $70 a day to use their pool on top of the outrageous rental fee for a less then adequate place

linen and supplies set as described. pans could use a slight cleaning but was able to do it myself. Impressed that Vacasa offered to send cleaning staff to handle but declined. Enjoyed the location and the beach permit parking was the icing on the cake!
