My group and myself were very upset with this rental. When we arrived, we immediately start finding issues. The outside around the pool had trash everywhere, popped beach balls, bloody napkins, etc. The outside tv does not work. The fridge that was outside had black mold and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in months. Wet towels were in the washing machine. Chairs were broken and falling apart. The table in living room had sticky stuff all over it. A fan in one of the bedrooms isn’t very secure. Also, there was a woman’s personal hygiene item in one of the showers. I spoke with the host and he did have someone come remove the fridge and a maid to come move over the laundry. It was frustrating that things weren’t handled correctly before our arrival as you would expect. This home has so much potential but clearly needs some changes made. I read previous reviews regarding it being dirty and now I can see why. It’s not my job to be picking up previous trash for the people before us or being put out by people to come in and fix issues that simply should have been done in the first place. The pool also was very green.

This is the second time we have stayed at this house. There were some cleaning issues this time but talked to owner and they were quick to respond. It is a nice house with large gathering areas. Checking in and out were easy.

We were excited about staying at this property as the online pictures made it look like a great place for our family to gather. All of us were so disappointed in the cleanliness or lack thereof in this property. We had to search for clean towels that were eventually found in the dryer and had a musty smell. Stained and dirty bedspread and trash were found under each of the beds. The dishwasher had dirty dishes in it and no dishwasher soap, and didn't even work very well and we ended up using paper plates. The filtered water faucet was extremely loose and made it difficult to use. Refrigerator handle was loose. The microwave over the stove didn't work, but there was a backup in the corner by the sink. The floor had crumbs in the corner and the counter was sticky. Chairs in the dining room had loose arms and one chair had a loose leg. The rug in the family room was stained and dirty. The patio was dusty and dirty and did not look like the picture on the website. The pool was clean and the pool man did come twice while we were there. My grandchildren had a great time in the pool! Found a dirty glass under our bed upon leaving. I know I could have contacted the property manager about these issues, however these matters should have been addressed prior to our arrival not while we were there. I have stayed in many VRBOs and this one was by far the dirtiest one I have been in. There was no dishwasher soap and no laundry soap to start sheets upon our departure.

Had a get together with some long time friends. Enjoyed the house and pool. Very roomy house so we could have our own space if needed.

It’s always nice to have a place for my elderly parents can enjoy being outside. Neighborhood pools are great, but the private pool made it much more relaxing for them.

We enjoyed the property and the house was very nice and if we decide to come back to Midland again we would love to rent out again

It's a beautiful place; the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. I was able to have a really great Christmas with my family. They had a great big, beautiful Christmas tree to my surprise, which made things even better. They had a huge dining table that we all could sit and eat together, the pool table was a big hit with my grandson, he had the best time playing pool. We had a really great time!

Steven, the property manager was excellent - very responsive and made sure the house and pool were clean and ready! The house itself was perfect for our family - very spacious and comfortable. The pool and pool table were a bonus. Only improvements - as we left we saw a new Weber grill in the garage that would have been great to use. A bit of organizing and tossing of stuff in the garage and some closets would be good. Overall, the house was great and worked for making our stay in Midland a reall good time!

The house is very nice and has great potential but we did have a few issues with our stay. The property manager did do what he could to get everything fixed. We had the cleaning lady come and clean the fridge which had frozen pop in the freezer but on top of that just the surfaces were cleaned. So who ever stays after us will have a more clean house then when we stayed. We cleaned the inside of the cabinets, redo the dishes and stuff that was in the dryer. They didn’t have any cleaning supplies so we had to buy our own which isn’t a big deal but makes you wonder what they are cleaning with. The outside was not clean either. The tables were wiped down, the patio looked someone spilled pop or something sticky on it. The grill was basically falling apart. The inside paint was fall off so I did all I could to get it cleaned up so we could grill out. Someone left charcoal in bags next to the grill and on the other side of the f the patio. We cleaned the patio before we left. The pool was green from the moment we arrived and weren’t able to swim. It was green for 4-5 days but it was sanitized by the 3rd day before anyone would swim in it. The whole reason for this particular house was the pool so it was very disappointing to not be able to use the pool for a few days. The pool guys did their best to get it cleaned. I found gum on the frame of one of the beds and in one of the bathrooms on the floor. Someone left a tooth placard on the floor in one of the rooms that didn’t get picked up before we got there. The washing machine was super grimy and my wife cleaned it up before we left. The garbage compactor was really dirty and smelly but we didn’t mess with that. We also didn’t use the dishwasher while we were there. There was no dish soap or soap in the bathrooms so we got our own and refilled a few of theirs. We did enjoy the house and pool once everything was cleaned up. I hate leaving a not so nice review and if it was just one little thing then I wouldn’t have said anything. We have stayed in other houses in different states and this one was by far the dirtiest we stayed in. The house itself is nice but does not have the best upkeep. The property manager did apologize for the pool and the inconvenience which is much appreciated.

The house is large, beautiful and clean. The gas was turned off when we got there so no showers the first night and the pool was super dirty. The next morning the gas was turned back on and we lit the pilots and had hot water. The pool guy came so by the 3rd morning the pool was beautiful. Over all a great house. The manager was very attentive and tried to make our stay nice.

This property could be amazing. It is located in a central location, quiet neighborhood and it is very spacious. Unfortunately, maintenance issues impacted our trip 4/5 days of our stay. The property manager was very responsive and the handymen John and Lonnie were both very nice however, I would have preferred not to know them on a first name basis. The property manager did offer a late checkout for our troubles but we had to leave quite early on departure day. The dishwasher went out as mentioned in the previous review, refrigerator handle was a known issue and came off, kitchen chair was unbolted and caused my grandchild to fall off and hurt his leg, hot water in the guest bathroom took a while to warm up, toilet in the master runs intermittently and has no curtain for privacy. The curtain would not be an issue except for the fact that the gate right outside is broken and has no lock. The beds were comfy and although the knobs in the master shower were sort of pinched off, the water was hot and there were multiple shower heads with great water pressure and a huge soaking tub. The outside fridge and grill were dirty and not in functioning order and there were lots of leftover, unusable remnants from previous guests that were not removed prior to our stay such as hair dye, broken watch, hygiene items, frozen meat from December, a drawer full of fast food condiments, random gloves and plastic cutlery. This property has tons of space so storing the Christmas decor and other miscellaneous items in one central location such as the laundry room rather than in the master suite or throughout the home would be ideal. With just a little love and elbow grease this property will be fantastic!
