My heart sank when we drove up to the property, no curb appeal what so ever, like a safe house that had been dropped in the middle of a vacant lot, shocking. We were pleased once inside, rather like a sheik's tent, the outside was awful, but the inside was cute, the beds were comfortable, the place was cozy. The bar across the street, Goosetown, was a pleasant surprise, live music, great patio. Good location, we enjoyed our stay after the initial shock of the barren and run down exterior. But it is surprising that nothing has been done to dress this property up just a little, we never got passed how decrepit it appeared outside.

6 friends stayed for a long weekend in Golden. The cottage, like others say, is deceiving from the outside, yet cozy and comfortable on the inside. Especially appreciated all the King beds - super comfy and we all slept great! Kitchen well stocked; extra pillows, blankets and towels available. Location can't be beat as its easily walkable into downtown. Bonus is the Golden Mill right across the street for food, drinks and entertainment (doesn't stay open very late, so no neighborhood noise). Easy check in / check out and communication with owners provided quick responses. Thanks for accommodating our early check in and extra hour on check out!

Overall this is a nice place. It was clean and had comfortable beds. Though downtown Golden is walkable, I expected it to be a little closer to town.

Property was perfect for our group. Looks tiny outside, but with the basement bedrooms it fit us well. All king beds was very nice! Property was very clean and location was safe and an easy walk. Property owners were ver responsive.

This experience was a complete nightmare. Photos are not reality. The address was dropped last minute so that it was too late to see the property and make new arrangements. All communication with the owners was like communicating in an alternate universe. They were not sorry for the bait and switch and instead took a defensive posture stating how close their crackhouse of a rental is to the main area of Golden. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for falsifying photos with whatever filters they used and creating what seemed to be this beautiful home. Even the bedroom lights inside the home would not completely turn off so there was no restful night sleep. We were so excited to come to Colorado for our daughter’s wedding; we spent time, energy, and a lot of money to stay at what we thought would be a wonderful place. Instead, it was undeniably horrible. Every person in our family who stayed there was disgusted and upset. Even as I write this, my words do not adequately describe our deep disappointment. Do NOT stay here. That’s my warning for anyone who might be lured into this false reality. ~ Dr. Debbi Kutner
