Our family of 13 stayed ar Secluded Sands for a week, loved every minute of it. We were in Hawaii to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary. The house was great, enough space for all of us. More than enough gear to go to the beach that was basically a private one for all of the kids. We cooked almost everyday minus 1 or 2. We had everything we needed. The location was great in Kahuku, the drive to places was great. Not too long in the car to get to the many adventures near there - Kualoa Ranch, Shark's Cove, Gunstock Ranch to name a few. If we go back to Oahu, we will definitely stay here again! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Decent location on the north shore, great deal for 5 bedrooms. Host was excellent with communication, house is well equipped.

This home far exceeded our expectations. It’s in a private, safe neighborhood. The owners have taken extra care to make sure you feel safe by providing locked gates and security around the home. The cleanliness was excellent.. communication with Bria was efficient and easy as well. There was alot of space for our kids- they even had fun toys for them- extra bonus! This house by far has the best amenities of any home we’ve rented- plenty of dishes for cooking and eating, extra blankets, 2 washers and dryers. Everything was also conveniently labeled, which we found very helpful. Tons of beach toys, towels and chairs in the garage for renter use. We are absolutely planning to stay here again!

Property was very clean and well-equipped. More than enough room for our extended family (8 people, including two kids). The nearest beach wasn't great for swimming, but just right for a morning stroll. Malaekahana Beach nearby was wonderful. Food trucks a short walk or even shorter drive away. Great vacation spot!

If you’re looking for the north shore experience where you have the beach all to yourselves, this is the place to stay!

We (10 extended family members) stayed here the last week of March. Perfect layout: upstairs there are three bedrooms (K, Q, bunks). Downstairs there are two bedrooms (Q, 3 twins) plus the couch. The kitchen and living room were bigger than expected from the pictures. The table easily fit ten. There was plenty of space on the balcony and the kids played in the large yard. The house is very well equipped, more so than most rentals. We had everything we needed in the kitchen including containers for leftovers, food wrap, food basics and many appliances. There are two washers and dryers which are modern and worked well. The house has a ton of outdoor equipment. Among other things, there are wagons, lots of boogie boards, two paddle boards, chairs, snorkel gear, sand toys and a lot of beach towels. Everything was extremely clean and in good repair. Between the AC and opening windows, we had no issues with the heat. The location is great. The house is in a very quiet residential neighborhood. All we heard was the ocean and the birds. It felt very safe. It took about an hour from the airport (in the evening - no traffic). It’s about a 6 minute drive to the closest grocery store or a ten minute walk to a large convenience store. The food truck/shops (great place to eat!) are about a 15 minute walk. The Polynesian Cultural Center is a ten minute drive. The local beach (always empty) was about a five minute walk down the street, then a couple of minutes through the treed path. While we were there we found the water too rough to go in but enjoyed walking, the crabs, watching the sun rise and even saw sea turtles. We also walked to the campground beach (15 minutes) which was better for swimming and boogie boarding. We swam at Kawela Bay (10 min drive, pretty, no waves) and Kahana Bay (about 20 min drive) which was our favourite boogie boarding spot as it is shallow a long way out. There were lots of beach options on the north shore but parking was challenging. Snorkelling was great at Shark’s Cove (watch for sharp rocks - 20 min from the house but traffic varied a lot along the north shore). We walked to the local church (very welcoming, 5 minutes) and Climbworks zip lines (12 min - highly recommend!). We also did the Nutridge Luau (fabulous) which was about an hour and twenty min drive. We had a fabulous week and would definitely stay here again. Bria was very quick to respond to all questions.

Amazing Place. As a group of golf enthusiasts, it was a privilege to watch golfers every morning while eating breakfast. Also the coffee maker was the best I've ever used and I plan to buy the same one for my home. If I have another opportunity to stay in Oahu, I will not hesitate to stay again.

Our host was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We stayed in a great location, close to popular attractions like Turtle Bay and Sunset beach. We also loved all the free beach and sport accessories that were provided, including paddle boards and snorkel gear. This was a thoroughly enjoyable stay for me and our family. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a pretty, quiet, lovely and generously appointed house in a peaceful area. Away from the tourist hordes and next to several gorgeous beaches, it's uniquely situated where you can get the best of either the East Coast or the West Coast weather. Great communication by our host helped as well, thorough local information was provided and we wanted for nothing. We'll be back Kahuku! 😁🤙

We had a large group of friends and family and this beach house was the perfect fit. Everyone had enough space to relax and feel comfortable. The outdoor hot showers were a game changer, especially after a long day at the beach. While we don't come to Hawaii to hang out indoors, it was especially nice to have board games to play together in the evening. There were many streaming options to choose from for movie nights together (netflix, prime, disney, hulu, etc). Since there were two big tv's in two living rooms, we were able to divide groups based on movie preferences. But truly, the best part was the location immediately outside of the house. Even if we didn't go anywhere else on the island, we would've felt fulfilled with what we were able to access within walking distance. So if you're trying to decide between places to stay, you cannot go wrong with this one!

We had the most amazing vacation here! The private beach was a dream come true and the golf course views were simply breathtaking. It was spacious and well-equipped with all the essentials, making it the perfect home away from home. Thank you to our gracious host for facilitating a memorable stay for our group!

Beautiful beach house, just steps from the beach. Clean, well organized, easy access, awesome views, and great hosts with local knowledge of a variety of things to do during your stay. Close to many nice beaches, restaurants/food trucks, hikes, snorkeling, paddle boarding, zipline adventure, horseback riding, golf, etc. Polynesian Cultural Center is nearby as well. We filled our time with activities that were all within just 20 minutes of this prime location.

Everything as advertised. Clean. Walkable to a big unpopulated beach. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

First of all, the beds were so comfortable! I actually asked the host where they got their mattress because, for the first time in YEARS, my back pain in the morning completely went away. I need that same mattress at home! They offered the most generous supply of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel of any place I've ever stayed. They also made sure that there's a lot of supply of laundry soap, dishwashing soap, garbage bags, paper towel, toilet paper, etc. And of course, the view and it's nearness to the beach! That was magnificent! They have a complete supply of beach wagons, beach chairs, Boogie boards, toys, and lots of beach towels! We enjoyed the beach so much! The kitchen was fully equipped too, and they have a beautiful BBQ grill. We did a lot of cooking. The view from deck was just beautiful all day long, especially during sunset, so mesmerizing! We would surely come back if given the chance!

This was our first time staying in a place that wasn't a traditional hotel. We were nervous, especially as we haven't been to Hawaii before. Thankfully everything went smoothly. The host was professional and responded quickly. Dare I say this was actually a better experience than a hotel! I'm sold on traveling this way in the future. Our accommodations were so sparkly clean! Loved the location. Perfect beach house for adults and children alike!

Location! Location! Location! The place is close to the beach. They have a lot of beach toys, sporting equipment, paddle boards, even fishing rods (too bad I have no idea how to fish). My only minor gripe was we bought a bunch of snorkel sets and body boards not knowing there was plenty of them already available for free in the storage bins. I swear that they thought of everything. I highly suggest you booking this one1

I booked this for my large group of 14. From the pictures it looked perfect, but as you all know photos can be deceiving. This was not the case in this situation. When we arrived we were all impressed by the location (close to Polynesian Center, 1 hr from Downton Honolulu, short drive to Sunset beach, etc.), and we loved the set up of the rooms. Everyone had space to sleep, and even with 14 people, the place never felt crowded. We often times congregated on the deck by the living/dining area, and had plenty of room to maneuver and feel comfortable. I communicated with the Mgmt a few times before arriving, confirming location/access, but also asking for vacation ideas and shooting itineraries by them for suggestions. The overall experience was nothing short of amazing, and ranks as my best hosting experience yet. I highly suggest this property! Thank you!

Our stay was amazing and being only a 5 minute walk to the beach. It was secluded cozy and clean. Will definitely look forward to staying again when I go with my family again.

The house is great and the location was wonderful. I would highly recommend this property. This was my first VRBO experience and I would absolutely do this again. The communication from the property manager was direct and on point. For those looking for constructive criticism - the washer/dryer were a little challenge to figure out as it relates to how to dispense the laundry detergent. A google search helped but still had fun figuring that out. Oh, and one of the beach chairs had an arm broken. Big whoop. Seriously – these were the only challenges we experienced with this entire magnificent property. For those visiting next – have a blast and we highly recommend a late night beach hike. The crabs scattering along the water’s edge was an absolute highlight of our trip.

This is a wonderful place to stay! The space is clean and well maintained, with lots of extras provided for fun beach experiences. It's close to many north shore attractions. No view of the ocean, but you can hear it and it's a short walk. Quiet surroundings. Spacious deck. Kitchen, dining and living room are all open, making a comfortable gathering place for the family. Enjoyed having 3 bathrooms -- hard to find elsewhere.

My wife, two college age daughters and a family friend recently enjoyed a stay here. The Host was great. Before the trip I had a couple of questions and got a quick response. They gave us some suggestions on places to eat in the area and told us about a good hike that was close by. As far as the place goes it’s incredible, clean, and roomy, not to mention the location is great. Especially if you're looking to get away from the touristy Waikiki. It is totally furnished with everything you will need. We used the outdoor BBQ grill multiple times to the point where we ran out of propane. The host got us a backup propane tank within the same day. There were two full size paddle boards with car transport kits. We took them to Kawela Bay and saw so many turtles!! We used the provided beach wagons to take everything to our own private beach that was a short walk from the front door. There was a day where we were literally the only ones on the beach all day! The outdoor shower came in handy after a day at the beach. If you want to get out towards the North Shore you can't beat this location. We would defiantly stay here again if we make it back to Hawaii.

THE perfect home base for our North Shore trip! Lovely and comfy accommodations. Location was perfect for accessing so many Beaches. The host was very responsive and the property was so beautiful. Zero complaints. Recommended 100% without hesitation. We loved it!!!

We came for a coaching retreat and had a wonderful stay. There was more than enough room for everyone. This location is superb. It sits next to a golf course, about a five minute walk to the beach. The beach is beautiful and secluded. The property was so quiet and peaceful, being far from the freeway and other units. At night, we only heard palm leaves rustling in the gentle breeze. No urban noises like we are accustomed to. All the North Shore attractions are minutes away by car. It was easy to do day trips to Honolulu and back. Also, being on the Kahuku side of the North Shore allowed us to avoid most of the crowds and traffic on the other side of the North Shore. I recommend this property to anyone with a family who wants to be near the beach and avoid the crowds.

We had a great stay on the north shore and it was a great home base for exploring. Thanks for including things like boogie and paddleboards, coolers, wagons, snorkel sets, fishing rods, and chairs. it made everything so easy. we will definitely keep this on our short-list of repeat retreats.

We loved staying on this side of Oahu. Very laid back, authentic and not busy. The private beach was amazing and oftentimes we had it all to ourselves.

We were a group of 13 staying in Oahu (12 adults and a 14 month old). We wanted to stay away from the crowds of Waikiki and found this spot in Kahuku to be the best location! Check-in was pretty seamless, and I was easily able to communicate with the host the entire trip via text. Surprisingly it had everything you need for a baby, from a toddler gate, to high chair, stroller, toys, puddle jumper, and pack n play. They even had sippy cups, toddler dishes, and bottle dish soap. Cupboards were stocked with everything we needed from toiletries, to different types of sunblock, and bug spray. The kitchen was stocked with condiments and all the cooking appliances you need. There were board games and plenty of free streaming services to choose from as well. The private beach was so convenient. They had everything we could need for the beach so it was a short wagon ride to bring everything to the beach. The water was too rough for babies, but then we quickly found a natural kid swim area protected by reef that was perfect. We were the only ones there! It is excellent to enjoy your own private beach on the island without any crowds which is rare to find on Oahu. We would definitely stay here again! Many thanks to our host who made every part of our stay smooth and enjoyable!

We were a large family group, ranging in age from 3months to 87years, four generations and there were 11 of us in total coming from Australia. Admittedly were difficult to accommodate but our host was polite and always helpful. We were very comfortable in our lodging and appreciated all of the extras provided, like the toddler gate and the two travel cots! Really enjoyed staying in such a high-quality golf area and walking to the beach! Our host was top notch! Thank you! - Jordan
