We are of the belief of if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Which is why it took so long for the response. Driving up to the home, it looked lovely. Arriving on the porch we were greeted with spiders and LOTS of spider webs, Which we had to swipe away to get through the front door. All of the seating and fans on the porch were also covered. Not the greeting we’re were expecting. Upon entering the home the furnishings looked nice and the living room furniture was comfy. Although the seams and in between the cushions of the couch were filled with crumbs and dirt The house smelled musty and moldy which was not good for me as I have COPD. The kitchen was nice, but again was NOT clean. There were crumbs under the toaster/on the counter and the toaster itself was disgusting. The microwave and the refrigerator needed a good cleaning. Both bathrooms had hair everywhere! On the walls, on the floor, on the sink, in the tub, etc.The master bath tub had a bath mat that was growing mold, a used washcloth hanging on the shower curtain rod and there was so much filth on and in the vanity I don’t know how to describe it. The description of the property promised a hot tub and a lake view. There was no hot tub and the lake was dried up. We should have been told these were not available. We HAVE PICTURES as proof of all and more described. We would appreciate a refund of the $200 cleaning fee and one nights stay.

It was so nice and relaxing. We enjoyed the back yard and the quiet location and comfy beds.

My husband and I rented this house for an anniversary trip. We have stayed at Douglas Lake several times and this was by far our favorite house. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The house is super clean and way bigger on the inside than it looks. The decor is super cute. The bed was comfortable. They give you plenty of towels. The back deck is a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the morning or evening. We used the fire pit on our first night there while we watched sunset over the lake and trees. I think they had already started draining water from the lake because there wasn’t a lot of water around the dock, but it was still nice and the water would have been deep enough to dock a boat. We come to Douglas Lake 2-3 times per year and we are already looking forward to renting this house again so that our children can enjoy it with us.

Beautiful, quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. My niece and nephew loved looking for frogs and roasting marshmallows in the backyard. They also loved fishing and swimming off the dock. We had a pleasant rememberable stay.

We had a wonderful family trip to the lake! The hosts were kind and easy to reach. Conveniently located and easy to find with lots of parking space. The house had anything we could need and more. Comfortable beds, stocked kitchen, lots of indoor and outdoor entertainment. Easy and gentle slope down the backyard to fire pit, picnic table and private dock. The kids especially enjoyed the neighbors friendly dog following them to the dock for a swim! We can’t wait to come back!

I stayed here my girlfriend, brother and sister in law, and another couple. We spent most of our days out the lake skiing and wake boarding. More than enough room for 6 adults to relax, cook, eat and spend time together. Dock held our 2 boats perfectly for our stay. Lots of parking and there was tons of room for another couple or 2. Hosts were very willing to help and respond promptly Would recommend this house to anyone and will be staying here again!
