Nice little place. Cozy is an accurate description. It is not conducive for a gathering place. We went to my sister’s Vrbo to have breakfast and get together with extended family. We were all here for my grandson’s wedding.

We loved staying at this property - there was plenty of room and my husband and I appreciated the separate space of the primary suite. Now we need heated tile floors too lol. The location to downtown Black Mountain was great and the neighborhood was quiet. We would definitely stay at this property again!

This cottage is wonderful! It is clean and comfortable and more spacious than it appears in the pictures. The bedrooms are very nice - very comfy beds! - and the two gathering areas are just perfect. It is already stocked with everything you need, plates, cups, cooking pots and pans, coffee maker, tea kettle, including the most clever wine corkscrew. The host is so easy to work with - great communications and very accommodating. It is the perfect place to stay when visiting Biltmore, only a 15 minute drive right down I-40 and then exit about 1/4 mile from the Biltmore entrance - avoiding all the traffic! The town of Black Mountain is really cute with shops, craft stores, and art galleries. Be sure to eat at the German restaurant, Berliner Kindl, make a reservation - it is small and a local favorite. Seriously, this cottage is a gem!

Fabulous, eclectic cottage with everything you could need. The master bed/bath is such a luxurious addition. Adorable, artsy decor and a very comfortable living space. Wonderful to be able to walk to town. Thank you for providing such a great place to stay.

We could not have asked for a more perfect home while visiting the Black Mountain area. The proximity to town was amazing, the property had everything we needed, and we felt safe and comfortable while there. The owners were also responsive and helpful in every way possible. I cannot say enough good things about the area and the home. Thank you!

I loved the house! It was very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located for where I needed to be. The house itself is charming and nicely furnished. The master suite is wonderful, with a king sized bed and spacious bathroom. The tub was great, and the heated floor was a nice touch. I’d definitely stay again.

This stay restored my faith in VRBO! After many great VRBO experiences, I've recently had 2 bad experiences with VRBO properties, and was nervous this would continue the trend. But this proved to be one of the BEST! My husband, 2 young adult children, my son's fiancee and I all enjoyed this property. When we arrived, there was a power outage due to a storm; I contacted Tefa and she was very helpful in keeping us informed about what was going on. The house is very close to Asheville and Biltmore (our main reason for the trip), and the town of Black Mountain is very quaint and we enjoyed the downtown area. The only downside was the TV - we don't watch much TV while on vacation, but I go to bed earlier than everyone else and they like to stay up and relax watching TV. The only one is in the sitting room next to the main bedroom, and there isn't enough privacy for the others to enjoy while I go to bed. That wasn't a huge issue, but might be for someone else. Overall, great property - excellent location, very clean and good layout.

The cottage worked well for our family of 5 spending a few days in Asheville. Easy to get to downtown Black Mountain and really anywhere in Asheville. We saw some racoons out back and some deer munching on the neighbors tree. The place had everything we needed with plenty of space and was clean. There is some freeway noise but it wasn't bad. It's an eclectic neighborhood with some mobile homes across the street and houses adjacent but it all worked for us. Cheers!

Will stay here again for sure. Just outside of town, nice and clean. A cute little house with plenty of room. Everything was exactly as described plus there’s a fire pit in the back that we enjoyed.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was great! Loved all the art on the walls. It was a perfect location to be able to walk to downtown Black Mountain and to drive to Asheville. We look forward to staying again.

This rental was fabulous and conveniently located. We enjoyed a long weekend of touring and relaxing. Touring the Biltmore was great and the zoo was fun. Tefa was a delight to work with for every detail of the reservation. She made sure we were settled and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this home away from home!

The house was very nicely furnished and well equipped. Loved the primary suite! The property was just a minute down the road from central Black Mountain. Black Mountain is a lovely town and we enjoyed eating at My Father's Pizza, Thai Basil and Open Oven. I hope to return to the area again.

This place was clean and cozy just as described. This was perfect for our family of 5. It was located right in the center of everything we wanted to see. (Chimney Rock, Mt. Mitchell, Fred W. Symmes chapel, Ashville)
The beds were clean and comfortable and the house had all the supplies we needed. My 2 girls (ages 13 and 12) shared the bedroom with 2 beds, and my 9 year old son had his own bedroom. The 3 kids shared a bathroom.
The master suite was gorgeous! Nice closet space. Beautiful job decorating!
Each kid had a turn in the jacuzzi tub.
My daughter used the yoga room to keep up on her ballet. She wants us to build her one at home now.
There was a grocery store right in town along with a few restaurants to choose from. We were disappointed that the ice cream shop was closed, but we understand it was November. It felt like a good ice cream night to us, but we are from Michigan and we were enjoying the warmer weather in NC.
Would totally recommend this place to anyone. We would love to come back someday.

The house was just what we needed for a girls' weekend away. It was even better than the pictures suggested. A little farther outside town than I expected but a very short drive to shops, restaurants, and wonderful outdoor activities. I would definitely stay here again. This was our second year at the cottage and we returned because it was not only cozy, comfortable, well-equipped and nicely decorated - but also because it's so close to town and centrally located. Tefa is a terrific communicator also. Highly recommend!

Tucked in a small Black Mountain neighborhood, this cozy house felt like home away from home and was less than 5 minutes from Ridgecrest Conference Center where we attended an oversubscribed event. Great communication and hospitality from our host. Highly recommended!

The property was so easy to get in and out of with great highway access without being too close to hear the noise. Accommodations were comfy and well appointed without feeling like we were staying in a mansion. I plan on renting this place again

Great Cottage in Black Mountain
We really loved this cottage! Roomy with comfortable seating.
Kitchen was well equipped and had the all important out door grill and outdoor seating as well.
Wifi worked well; Apple TV was fine, had Netflix and Amazon; but no live programs, so no news or live sports, unless spouse use our IPAD with our subscriptions, and cast it onto the TV.
Master bedroom area was quite the beautiful suite with the TV room and master bath as well as a large tub with water jets. Very sunny and beautiful in the daytime, but no room darkening curtains. Beds were comfortable, if a bit soft, a personal preference. Linens, towels, and a variety of shampoos and soaps were plentiful, thanks so much!
We are not yoga folk, but it has a separate building in the yard for this.
Black Mountain was nearby and a very nice and friendly town with a large park nearby with a lake; just beautiful!
We called on Tefa and Joe once for a minor assist and they were responsive and great! Very kind owners. Would stay here again if available.
