My wife and I, my 93 year old father, and my sister had planned a vacation to see the Redwoods of northern California. Unfortunately, a few hours into the stay, all power was cut off in the town due to a nearby forest fire. I called the host, Maria, to see if there was anything see could do, but with power cut off to the house, she could do nothing to help. We ended being stuck in Crescent City for two days before we packed up to leave, since we had no power and the access road to the Redwood Park was also closed due to the fire. All in all, the Taylor House II offered us a safe haven during a natural disaster, as we had a comfortable place to stay until we could evacuate. Although we never did get to see the Redwoods, we enjoyed walks by the ocean and the beautiful drive on hwy 101 along the Oregon coast to Crescent City. So thank you , Maria, for having that safe place for us to stay. The house was quite beautiful and well equipped and we only wish we could have had electricity so as to have been able to stay the whole booking. The power outage was beyond anyone's control, but we were able to "make lemonade when handed lemons", thanks to Maria's safe haven at Taylor House II.

I cannot say enough about this property. The open floor plan, 2 yes 2 dishwasher, park, beech not to mention the owner took enough time and care to leave, laundry soap, body wash, shampoo & conditioner. Check in was so easy. My family enjoyed this house and would recommend it to anyone. There were so many extras.

We had the best mini vacation in Crescent City and the house was a huge part of it. Tons of space for my family of 6, including our 2 dogs. The location was perfect, a short walk to the best beach for finding beach glass & a little longer of a walk to Seaquake Brewing Co. We absolutely would stay here again & wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Thank you for a great stay!

This is a beautiful home in a great location. The only thing between you and the ocean is a beautiful park. A well stocked home with everything you need to prepare a meal. Towels and washcloths are top of the line. My only complaint is the mattress in the master bedroom and in bedroom 2 are way too soft! It’s too bad because for that reason I most likely won’t stay here again.

Greatly enjoyed our stay at the Taylor II house. So spacious, very clean, and everything you would ever need. Absolutely loved the master shower….Wow. Enjoyed the firepit out back and the bean bag toss game in garage as little extras. Large fenced grassy back yard with deck. Great location next to park . Highly recommend this rental. Maria was wonderfully quick to answer any questions we had. Thank you for everything.

The house had plenty of space for all 8 of us. Super fast walk to the beach and the park across the street made it convenient with the kiddos. Loved this house!

We were there 2 nights over July 4th. Newly renovated, clean and spacious home across from park and ocean view (if there wasn’t so much marine layer.) we didn’t cook so can’t confirm kitchen supplies. Room for family of 5 to spread out and be comfy. Will stay again!

Wonderful place. Master suite is excellent. The kitchen is spacious and equipped as we expected. Excellent cabinet space. We enjoyed our stay and would rent this home again.

We went in the middle of May with five family members in three groups. It’s a surprisingly large house, 3 roomy bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with a lot of common space—probably great if you have more people or small children who have a lot of space to run around inside. The large bedrooms and bathrooms are located along their own hallway, which isolates them from the common space, a nice feature. There’s also a nice deck that we did not get to use. The space was very clean with a very modern kitchen, laundry and bathrooms. Because the house is so large heating is provided by small wall-mounted heaters controlled by thermostats in every room, which lets people dial in their temperature preference without affecting others. While my wife and I were not bothered by it, the fans in the heaters can be loud when they turn on suddenly in the middle of the night, a comment made by one of our guests. ( this may have been exacerbated by the fact that during our stay, there was a two hour blackout, and all the fans kicked on at the same time when power was restored at about midnight) The location is near the shore right across from a playground, so in a perfect quiet spot. It also allowed easy nearby access to the various redwood forests that we had come to see. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

This house was awesome, close to the beach and a park across the street. The house was modern and spacious, the master suite was beautiful. Would rent again.

The house is exactly as described. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms were very updated/modernized and functional. We used this as a 'home base' to explore the Redwood parks. It was a great location and had every comfort we needed. Plenty of soaps/shampoo/conditioner was provided for our use. The kitchen was well-stocked and we cooked nearly every night. We had plenty of space to eat and play card games as a family. This is a great house, very comfortable, and great location.

This house was wonderful for our mini vacation. We and our dogs loved the location. The house and yard met every expectation. My mother is mobility challenged, and all the space in the home made for a great experience. We would definitely come again.

We were excited to find a property in the area that both fit our budget, and our desires! This house was better than advertised - much bigger than it looks, much better location then we expected, and great fun. The house had everything we needed. Clear expectations and easy check-in and check out. Highly recommend.

This is our second time renting from this owner and we hope to rent from them again someday! The Taylor II house is in a fabulous location, across the street from a kid's park and a short walk to the beach. Our 7 year old was never bored! The house is clean, spacious and great for trips with friends and/or family. We had a wonderful time at the Taylor II house!

Our family stayed here over Christmas. The house is in a great location very close to the shoreline. This house is much bigger than it looks from the front. There is a lovely master suite at the back of the house. The kitchen was fairly well appointed with what looked to be new appliances (2 dishwashers which actually came in handy!) We didn't venture out into the back yard as it was pouring rain the whole time, but there is a fairly large backyard with a deck and patio furniture and a firepit which would be great in better weather. On the downside, the home is heated with wall heaters in every room which were very noisy so consequently it was cold in the house while we were sleeping because we had to turn them down. Also, there were ants who eventually got into our food which resulted in our having to throw out quite a bit. We bought ant traps which did not seem to help much. The trash cans were full when we arrived, so we had to bag our trash and leave it in the garage. All in all though, the good outweighed the bad and we had a nice Christmas.

This is a great property for couples, families and dogs. My husband, dog and I came to visit family in the area and this house was a great place for us to stay together. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and the yard was safe and secure for the dogs. The ocean is a short walk across the park with great views to the north and the lighthouse to the south. Safeway is nearby and it was easy to order ahead and pick up groceries on the way to the house. For families with kids, there is a park across the street with a small playground and basketball court. The garage had a couple basketballs and cot hole for fun in the backyard. The only hiccup we had was discovering the request to strip the bed on the laundry room whiteboard as were packing the car which resulted in a made dash as we were getting out the door. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Crescent Coty and would definitely stay here again.

Taylor house was beautifully renovated and the perfect location to enjoy Crescent City and the greater area. Maria was a very accommodating host and responsive with any questions. For walking, hiking, fishing, and relaxing the home was a perfect fit. The open space made cooking and time with family warm and enjoyable. I’d love to return.

Great property, plenty of space for family and fenced yard for the dog. Very clean. We had a great stay, highly recommend.

This is my second time staying here and love the location and it's clean and private and has a great yard for my dogs.

Taylor 2 house was even better than the pics described. The owner was great to work with. Made excellent dining recommendations and even came over in person to explain the "smart" TV to us. 5 star accommodations for sure ✨️

Overall had a great experience. We had one small issue with not being able to get any hot water in the master suite at the back of the house, but otherwise no additional issues.

Showers, abundance of linens, good beds, great kitchen. If I could offer a couple Of suggestions: the breakfast table needs to be a little bigger. And the kitchen needs a few more items such as serving bowls, baking pans, freezer bags. Our manager was available to us and easy to reach.

We were looking for a place that had enough space for three adults, with comfortable furniture and good location to the lighthouse and beach. This home well exceeded our expectations. Every room is very roomy. There was a lot of extras provided for us to play with (corn hole, basketballs, skewers and wood for fire pit, and lots of indoor games as well). The Wi-Fi connection was strong. The host provided detergent for dishes and clothing which was much appreciated. The home is in a charming neighborhood and walking distance to the park, lighthouse, beach, brewery, and cheese factory.
