Central Backpackers

Great location. Very close to the train and bus station. Staff were very helpful. Free luggage storage prior to check-in was very useful. Free tea and coffee 24hr was also much appreciated. The dorm was very spacious. Individual lamps, storage nooks, power sockets and USB sockets with each bunk bed. Kitchen and bathrooms were very clean. The hostel attracts a true backpacker crowd. Very nice communal areas. Would be good for meeting other travellers.

Very expensive for a hostel. The hostel put a temporary security authorisation on my credit card after check in. I didn't see a reason for this since my booking had already been prepaid and no other hostel in the UK has done this.

Home from home,a friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in. All friendly staff ,very polite. Shows you around after booking in ,meet plenty of people from all over the world.

Only one thing, but not a problem. Very noisy outside at night and into the early hours ,they supply ear plugs which blanks out all noise.

The location is superb and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a nice atmosphere at the hostel.

It’s a very noisy space and the lockers provided are small so with 12 people in a room there’s loads of luggage everywhere. The beds are very basic bunk beds, a few upgrades could make it much more comfortable.

Good location, free coffee

Beds are creaky, only 2 showers, no convenient hooks or shelves in bathroom, kitchen tables are dirty
