We stayed here for the first time last August and everything was perfect.....i wouldn't go back in November because the lazy river is not heated

This property itself needs a good deep clean. My child’s feet were black from walking around the living room with no shoes on. Also the master bathroom tub would not drain very fast when showering. We ended up buying stuff to unclog it. The resort itself is beautiful. It’s a haul to the beach with a cart because of going down one elevator, up another, across the street and back down again but the bridge over is convenient. Check in was easy! Our room was even ready before 4 and we were notified and had access early to our room.
The lazy river we referred to as the ice river. It was so cold our 8 yr old wouldn’t get in it and he gets in all water. The other pools were heated and felt great.

The property is amazing, location is key as it’s close to everything the Emerald Coast has to offer! And the unit itself was nice… I especially liked the washer and dryer! I couldn’t find a flat pan (like to make biscuits), but it had everything else I needed!

The Family enjoyed the view and convenience access to the beach. Most importantly was the lazy pool (many pools) the kids was so hyped when they saw it. I was blown away that it wasn’t a typical ordinary pool. For me Destin beach…we didn’t get along so well because I ended up with skin irritation (eczema) which I’ve never had before and still suffering as of today. Overall the resort was an awesome place to stay for our family. We’ll be back hopefully next summer! (No beach for me)

Actually, had to leave about two days early, because my wife and it up in the hospital in Fort Walton and was transferred to Birmingham Alabama by ambulance. It was discovered that she had a brain tumor. They performed a biopsy at UHB in Birmingham. They put her on meds to make her safe to travel back home. We are grateful that it was found, but it was very inconvenient for our vacation. We believe the Lord has a plan though. She will be getting treated at MD Anderson in our house state very soon.

The condo was in a perfect location. Walking distance to restaurants or a short drive to get to different excursions. The condo itself was nice but could use a deep cleaning. Loved the large king sized bed. The extra area with the twin bunk beds was nice. The kitchen had most items you need to make a meal. It was really nice having a balcony in the front facing the road. The best part was the view in the back of the lazy river, so beautiful. As a guest, it was nice to be able to utilize the lazy river! I would definitely come back but it would be nice if it was cleaned better.

We've stayed in this location before (different room) and we love it. The kids love the pool & the easy access to the beach is great!The room was clean & neat. I would have been better if a small vacuum was in the room. The broom was fine, but we didn't find it until half way through our stay and it still doesn't get up all the sand very well. I would also suggest there be more plastic wear. We have kids & it's terrifying having them walk around with glass bowls & cups. An extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom would also be a nice touch. The master mattress should also be flipped. We noticed that we were sleeping in big dips. Other than those few things, we had a great stay. We love the location & the room was very nice! Thank you!!

The listing is exactly as Vrbo shows. The place comfortably fits 6 ppl. Property is clean and full of things to do with or without kids. Close proximity to pier and into Destin. I would suggest 2 things: replacing cookware as it sticks really bad but I did have everything I needed to cook. The patio furniture needs replaced (I actually passed up the unit several times bc the table looked rusted and it is). Overall, 5 stars as the unit is exactly as listed and would stay again.

Been back to this resort 4th time now. This unit has lots of bath towels, trash bags and all essentials which makes me very please knowing I’m not running out of those. It was cleaned very well too. No sandy or sticky floor. Can’t go wrong with it.

Destin West Pelican 408 is has beautiful bay views, a fun heated pool,& lazy river right below your patio, plus easy access to the gulf Beach with the sky bridge. The bunk room setup is perfect for a family of 4. My only complaint was there was only 1 patio chair that fit the outdoor table and the kitchen was very sparsely outfitted with only enough dishes for 1, maybe 2 meals max, & very few baking dishes, mixing bowls, or storage containers. That just gave us more reason to check out all the fabulous area restaurants nearby.

We enjoyed staying here! The condo and balcony are bigger than what I expected after looking at the photos. The balcony view of the lazy river, pool and bay is lovely. The beach is a short walk away and I love having the bridge over the highway because we have little kids. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed for 3 nights and spent most of our time in the lazy river. The condo was clean, pool was great, and the skywalk to the beach was very convenient.

We had a great time and loved the condo. It could have been cleaner. I’m somewhat picky so take that for what it’s worth. All the baseboards were dusty, the guest bathroom had mold on the ceiling and in the bottom of the shower. The master bathrooms tub was dirty and had no toilet paper. The back of the bedroom doors were dirty and the kitchen wall beside the window had stuff dried and stuck to it. The patio table has not been wiped down. There was no blanket for the bed just a very thin comforter. As I said before I’m picky and all those things did not stop me from enjoying my stay. I would definitely stay in the condo again.

Great Amenities and Location
Nice place, thank you for letting us stay here. We enjoyed our stay at the condo with a nice view of the pool and easy access to the beach as well. Good location as well. Just be prepare to bring toilet paper, towels, bathing soap, laundry detergent, etc.

Great stay!
This was our second time staying at this property (Bayside). We really love the lazy river!! The condo was clean, check-in was super easy and the overall stay was wonderful.

Beautiful view and lots to do within walking distance, took a Sunset cruise and even saw the Boardwalk Pier fireworks from the beach side of our location.
