We had a wonderful stay at the Maine Glades. The home was beautifully decorated with plenty of room for our party of 10. The views over the mountains towards Sunday River are glorious; whether you are inside the property by the fire, or outside in the hot tub. The location is ideal to local towns for dinner options but with a well stocked kitchen, it's hard to leave the peace and tranquility. We would definitely come back any season of the year to enjoy this gorgeous home.

We had the pleasure of staying at The Maine Glades for a reunion weekend (5 couples), and couldn't have asked for a better experience. This immaculate home is beautifully decorated, spacious, and very well appointed. We enjoyed time in the hot tub and sauna, shot pool/darts in the game room, played card games around the large table, and took in the gorgeous views from the large deck. The bedrooms were spacious and quiet, and every guest in our group commented on how comfortable the beds and linens were. We spent a fun day at the River Fest at Sunday River (short drive from the property), enjoyed a couple of local hikes to see waterfalls, and had a delicious dinner at a local eatery in Bethel. This house has everything you could want and more! We can't wait to come back for a ski weekend with our children and extended family!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Maine Glades for the better part of a week in mid-January of 2023. And what a great way to celebrate the new year! From gathering with friends around the indoor fireplace, to having a morning coffee while taking in the breathtaking view of the mountains and the ski slopes in the distance, and soaking in the hot tub in the middle of a snow flurry, there is truly something here for anyone looking to relax and take in all that this home has to offer!
The house was spotless when we arrived, and it didn't take long for our group to settle in and feel right at home. The whole home generator put as at ease in the evenings as a storm rolled through. And our entire group also commented that the beds were some of the most comfortable they'd ever slept in.
Lastly, there were also some great little gems nearby to get a REALLY good bite to eat. We enjoyed authentic Laotian food at nearby Le Mu, as well as some of the best burgers and fries at Butcher Burger, both within about 10 minutes of the Glades.
If you're looking for a perfect getaway in Maine, look no further!

We stayed with some friends for my husband’s 30th birthday weekend and all I can say is WOW! We were meant to go skiing but a surprise blizzard overnight had us stranded, and it was honestly better that way. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna, played pool and darts, relaxed by the fire, hiked and sledded around the property, and had just a wonderful time. This trip made my husbands birthday so special and everyone is still talking about it a month later! Highly recommend this place for a family or group of friends looking for an escape.

Our group recently stayed at the gorgeous Maine Glades mountain view property. We lucked out with incredible weather and were able to explore some local hikes, waterfall scenery and a fun local eatery. On our second afternoon, we enjoyed our lunch on the incredible back deck. The deck has a panoramic view of the area mountains. We were able to watch the sunset as we sipped our wine and ciders. Later that evening we soaked in the outside hot tub under the stars. A perfect place to relax with friends. Can't wait to get back sometime soon to this peaceful space.

Stayed w/ friends for our Anniversary & took advantage of some fun area interests like Kayaking, swimming at “Frenchmen’s Hole”, even went 4-wheeling on the Jericho trail! The house was very comfortable & plenty of room for everyone. Enjoyed the fire pit & hot tub at the days end & we all slept great in the comfy beds & linens. Wouldn’t think twice about going back. Very memorable time!

Amazing Home!!
The Home has it all. We loved staying at The Maine Glades. An easy quick drive from Sunday River. We had 5 adults and 3 children and there was plenty of room for all. We really enjoyed the views, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, pool table and hot tub. We will definitely rent here again! Highly recommend.

We loved The Maine Glades home! Clean, comfortable, spacious and well appointed. Beautiful views. We loved this house! It was very clean, modern, and well appointed. My family enjoyed using the Franklin stove, the pool table and darts, and the hot tub. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated with a mixture of new and antique pieces, and the beds were very comfortable. It was a short drive to Sunday River Resort. We would happily stay here again and hope to in the future!

As you know, the rental we booked in Bethel had an issue with the plumbing; therefore we were offered this Maine Glades. The first day it ran out of propane in the middle of the nite and it got cold. Good thing for the wood stove. It took almost the full day to get new fuel and back up to resonable temperature. (thank you for the $ reduction). However, the rest of our stay was wonderful and will be looking forward to come back next year to your Great Home in Newry. It occurs to us that if we were not there those days and not being occupied, the out of fuel would certainly have frozen the water pipes and even the sprinkler system (if it's a wet system). We were told that automatic fuel delivery has been moved to every 20 days in the winter, rather than previous 30 days. Best that you check this out. Regards, Nick N.

The house is conveniently located within a 5 minute drive to Sunday River (which you can see from the deck). There was plenty of space for us and the pool table, dart board, and hot tub provided hours of entertainment after skiing.
