Susan and Jeff were made for hosting people in their lovely home! They receive their guests with a warm welcome, and their hospitality were above and beyond anything you can imagine! From the welcome sign, the little notes and surprises, the fresh flowers left in the room, the snacks and drinks in the "guest closet", the detailed notebook to help guests with everything you could need or want, to the quiet location and close proximity to everything in the Brunswick area....this is the best place to stop! Super clean, very comfortable king bed, very nice sitting room with library and a bathroom with everything you could need! Susan is one of the most gifted hostesses I've ever met - she goes beyond your expectations in so many nice ways to make you feel welcome! We were in awe of being treated like family in their home! And what a beautiful home they have - wanting to share with you! We absolutely loved the "Guest Suite" and would highly recommend it to others! You will not regret your stay here! We thank you so much Susan and Jeff! You helped make our vacation exceptional!

The appartement was just unbelievable, everything was great. The appartement is on the 1st floor of Susan and Jeffs 21/2 year old house and everything is brandnew. They have thought about everything that makes the stay for their guests perfect, on top these both are so friendly and neat people. So sad that we only stayed one night during our newengland roadtrip.

We spent 2 delightful nights in the most tastefully decorated and comfortable suite. The description on VRBO is spot on. Susan left no detail undone beginning with a welcoming message for us to an array of treats to sustain us and get us moving in the morning, even her personal umbrellas were made available if needed. She certainly gave us our privacy but was pleased to meet us and was so gracious and helpful and so responsive throughout the entire process. A definite must if you are in this area!!

I was honestly a bit hesitant to book in someone’s home. But I was so pleasantly surprised. The accommodation was private and quiet. Clean. Incredibly well equipped and comfortable. More than described in the ad. Would not hesitate to recommend or return

We needed a spot near Brunswick to do some exploring. It was a really nice spot and the host made it easy to check in and check out. It’s lovely because of all the little details and art everywhere. Clean and had anything you needed- from coffee to extra blankets. Would stay again.

Lovely clean and accessible location

We wanted close access to Popham Beach where grandkids would be camping/beaching, and this place fit the bill! Short drive (17 mins) to their camp and then to the beach. And when it rained one day, hosts gave us excellent tips of what to do in the area. We felt very cared for and helped by susan and Jeff!

We enjoyed our stay so much!! Friendly, helpful hosts and comfortable, private, quiet and well-equipped accommodations perfect for 4 days of mid-coast exploration.The location was fantastic! We will definitely be back!

Extremely clean, bright, spacious and comfortable. Much more than expected. Cannot say enough about how wonderful the experience.

Property as advertised. Bathroom did not have a/c, but it had an open window and a small fan was available. Great soaps. We enjoyed a bottle of wine in our room before going out to dinner. Coffee pods and snacks supplied by hosts were very good. The bed was comfortable overall but a little too soft for our backs. Lighting was good. Nicely decorated. Small library on landing was extra touch. Driveway has a bit of a slant, so be careful that roller bags don’t tip over when unloading. Would stay again.

Susan's previous experience managing a Bed & Breakfast was obvious in her loving attention to every detail. The quarters were larger and even nicer than shown in the photos. I enjoyed studying all the wall decor. The bed was supremely comfortable!!! I appreciated the welcome binder with restaurant suggestions and info on local attractions. The Wild Oats Bakery was the BEST bakery ever!

Very gracious/generous hosts with high attention to detail. Parking in property driveway in front of garage. Front door security entrance to inside stairs (railing) to 2nd floor very nicely decorated private suite above garage. Bedroom has small frig/microwave, loveseat, chairs, coffee table and desk. Additional sitting area adjacent/outside bathroom. Comfortable bed, adequate linens, water pressure fine. Very thoughtful extras for travelers-ex. bottled water, Keurig for coffee/tea, mugs/glasses, paper towels. Air purifier in room. Temp controlled a/c. Property near to grocery, drugstore, laundromat and within easy 15-45 minute or less drive of many tourist sites/attractions (Freeport, Manchester, Augusta, Bath, Boothbay). Very much enjoyed our stay and would return again when in the area.

Beautiful, inviting, private suite upstairs in the owners' home. You'll share a front door, then head directly upstairs. The bed was very comfortable. The bath was beautiful...love the seaglass seahorses. No kitchen, but you will have a small fridge and a microwave. Hosts are very nice and very accommodating.

Great spot just east of Brunswick. Easy to find. Close to town. Beautiful room prepared with immaculate care by our host. Top recommendation!

Lovely guest suite decorated with a southwestern flair and lots of original art. Comfortable bed, nice amenities including a mini-fridge, reading nook, and welcome gift upon arrival. Note that the entrance to the guest suite is shared with the owners.

Parking was new, black topped, close to the door, clear and close. Door had a unique combination to enter. Property and house were well groomed and decorated. It was a quiet area, out of the way from the hustle and bustle of a busy, downtown area. Inside living area was great. Host were the best! We felt welcomed in our home away from home.

This lovely home, a well-appointed cozy haven, is nestled in a wooded neighborhood near the water , and just a couple of miles from the highway, downtown, restaurants, stores, a movie theater, Bowdoin college.

This was our second stay at Serendipity and it will not be our last! Hosts are very accommodating and there to greet you with a smile. Feels like home away from home with special little treats! My son is a Bowdoin student and the location is perfect to get to and from campus. A hidden gem. Thank you!

Susan was very accommodating, and gave good recommendations for restaurants as well as places/things to visit/see. Some homemade cookies and other treats were a nice touch.

Susan and Jeff were amazing host! They keep the most beautiful and comfortable place. We were visiting for a wedding during peak season, which made looking for a place to stay hard. This was such a good find! She left us a welcoming bag and gave us plenty of privacy. Susan welcomed us and helped us find a taxi service to get to our wedding. We highly recommend staying here (and the bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept on at a VRBO).

We have traveled extensively and have never stayed at a property as wonderful as this one. I cannot think of one thing I would have changed about our experience! From the timely communication to the ease of check-in, to the thoughtful touches to the perfect location - Serendipity is truly a pampering retreat! The bed is extremely comfortable, the bedroom and bathroom are spacious, the amenities and details are outstanding, and the binder full of local information was helpful. The accommodations are on the second floor but there is an easy-to-navigate staircase just inside the entryway to get to the second floor. (I have a partially disabled left leg so I am very aware of these details. The stairs were incredibly easy to climb.) Our hosts were the perfect combination of friendly and interested in our time in Maine, but not over bearing. Susan was very clearly born with an eye for detail and the gift of hospitality. There is a reason they get all five star reviews, and I am so happy to add our five star review to the growing list!

Susan and Jeff are wonderful hosts to invite us into their home. The accommodations were perfect, nice bedroom, bath and even a reading space. Susan also added some great touches, snacks, water, and some delicious Maine candy! Brunswick is a quaint town with many things to do that kept us busy. Hiking and sightseeing in Bath, Harpswell and Freeport, and the Maritime Museum in Bath. I would definitely recommend staying here.
