The host was responsive.There were a few things with the house itself that we would have like to have been made aware of prior to the stay… the fireplace was not working. The light over the dining table was broken.In addition, the door handle to the upstairs bathroom was almost falling off which we fixed. It was a wonderful location. And there were several deer that would frequent the hill just behind the house each morning.

We had such a wonderful time here! Nice cozy cabin that was everything we could ask for! Would definitely recommend

Great location! Very clean and fully stocked kitchen. Nice large deck and plenty of wildlife. A little smaller than I thought but we had 7 adults and 2 children. Host was great and responded promptly. Even came up to check something. Very convenient to town.

Let’s start with the good things. It is a very central location and meets the basic needs of a rental. The check in and check out was great. The house was clean.Areas for improvement: when we got there not all the lights were functioning and as we tried to turn others on a breaker tripped, and the outlet sparked in my wife’s hand. I had to go outside in the dark and hunt around for the breaker box and fix the two tripped breakers. Fortunately, that did not happen again for the rest of our stay. That is an example of an overall electrical system that is in need of a serious update. There are numerous overhead lights in the house that are nothing more than a swag plugged into an outlet on the wall. In the kitchen, there is a light fixture with a wire hanging loose and not connected to a bulb. We did not test it, but it’s hard to imagine how this is not alive wire with the configuration of the lighting. The pictures of the house were taken some time ago and when the house was in better condition. The picnic table and cabinets in the kitchen show substantially more wear than in the photos. Finally, the house must be very well insulated. It was not very cold outside yet the heater ran so often just to keep the house 68. I’m sure that if you had actual cold weather, it would probably run all the time. This is a problem because the unit is actually quite loud, especially in the area of the downstairs bedroom. Anyway, it’s not a terrible place, but not a very good value
