The location and the rooftop view make this rental worth it. It’s literally 20 steps from the beach. The spacious layout with the extra exterior “apartment” also was very nice. Things to consider: 1. The dishes and the pots & pans were old and worn. 2. The master bathroom was the oldest, most outdated bathroom in the home. 3. There were lots of closets and space to tuck things away… with lots of towels (both beach and bath) to last for the stay. 4. There were beach chairs and beach toys. 5. The garage spaces were tiny. We fit our Honda Odyssey without roof racks in the garage, but couldn’t pull all the way in b/c the post blocked both doors. So we left the garage open. 6. A maintenance guy showed up two times unannounced and let himself in. One time we were all napping after a family funeral and he woke up the whole house. The next time my husband was back from the beach getting drinks and the same guy came back without announcing and scared the crap out of him. In my opinion, this is unacceptable. Tenants should be made aware prior to some strange worker coming into our space. twice!!!! 7. It was a seamless check in and check out, however I tried to call customer service 2x and sat in the phone for close to an HOUR before getting through. I explained our concern to the lady and she was matter of fact and unapologetic. I told her that we’d been customers of 710 for 3 years now- and had never had this experience. “Sorry to hear that”. No apology, but excuses. I told her we wouldn’t be renting again from Vacasa and she said “Fine”. Seriously, is it “fine”? 8. We spent over $7600 for 6 nights and it was not worth that money. We’ve stayed at other properties that were cleaner, not as close to the beach & spacious. Would we stay again? Absolutely not. 9. Vacasa - in our one time experience- does NOT give the level of customer service that 710 use to give us. We won’t be renting from Vacasa again. Too many headaches, mediocre accommodations & gross kitchenware. The location was amazing, but for $7600– not worth it. **I would absolutely love to speak to a Vacasa supervisor, however I highly doubt anyone will reach out.

We made use of all of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Loved the rooftop deck and that the ocean was right there

We had a great time. Gave 4 stars because we reached out before and asked if beach gear and towels were included at the rental. We were told they were not so we packed our own which wasn’t easy on a flight with limited space. When we arrived there were tons of beach towels and beach equipment there to use. It felt like the communication was done through a third party host that really didn’t know the specific property. The house is great for kids, it’s not fancy, nothing nice to break. Could use some updates for sure but we didn’t mind.

This house was an incredible location, lots of room and felt big for our party of 14! It is steps away from the beach and so convenient especially with young kids. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, and the large kitchen was perfect for all of us. Also, the rooftop was incredible and so relaxing! The only thing i would suggest to the owners is to install screen doors to the entrance and the door to the rooftop. We wanted to sometimes keep the doors open and we couldn’t because flies immediately came rushing in. Also, a heads up to anyone with young children, this IS a 3 story condo with lots of stairs :) Overall we would definitely stay here again!

The location of the house was convenient, great for walking and close to everything you need. We enjoyed the house and had a great time being in San Diego. We will be back! Property Management was amassing and responded immediately with every inquiry I had.

A group of friends and I stayed here for a friends wedding. You can’t beat the location!! Steps away from the beach and boardwalk. Short walk away from restaurants and shops. The location on the beach is also perfect because it never got too crowded compared to just North of us closer to the restaurants. The rooftop deck has gorgeous views and was the perfect place for morning coffee. The house came stocked with kitchen essentials, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards. Rooms were clean and spread out. Would definitely recommend this property!

Note: since we paid over a thousand dollars a night our expectations were high. First the positives: It was wonderful to be just steps away from the beach. The unit was spacious and clean and had fairly decent kitchen amenities for a VRBO, and both kitchens had enough dishes and silverware to feed all the people in out party. The furniture provided in both front rooms was comfortable and substantial so everyone was able to relax on it. The mattresses were also in great shape. The floor fan in the downstairs bedroom was appreciated as the nights became very still and we needed the fan to move some air. A ceiling fan in some of the upstairs bedrooms would be a worthy addition for the same reason. The garage dimensions were very helpful so we knew what to expect. Now the negatives (and thus the rating): the hot water heater broke on the second day we were there and the way the situation was handled was completely unacceptable. It took three days and numerous phone calls and checks by a handyman and finally a real plumber to get it replaced. (Five teenagers unable to take a warm shower for over 3 days generated more that a few complaints.) With 14 people you can imagine we ran out of toilet paper (and paper towels) pretty quickly. We were informed they only supplied one roll per bathroom and we had to supply any additional ourselves. (Again, a thousand dollars per night.) The paper situation should have been disclosed up-front. There was only one dish cloth--downstairs--but they responded very quickly to get us more.). Beds were not what site said they were, e.g. some beds listed as kings are really queens and there is no outside shower to wash the sand off, contrary to what the website says Time for the owner to update some of the appliances. We had several issues with things not working properly and they seem to be on the verge of dying. The microwave in the main kitchen died (although they replaced it with a tiny counter-top model very quickly.) The sink fixture in the downstairs bathroom could use some attention. There is no seating on the patio, only on the roof where there is no shade (in spite of what the pictures shows.) This was a real bummer because it would have been so nice to enjoy a cocktail while relishing the cool sea breezes from the only place to see the ocean.

I did subsidise the sleeping arrangement for our tiny children with adding cots to some of the bedrooms. Two kitchens was a game changer in food prep for so many. One drawback was the very low height of the garage openings. Not one of our 4 cars fit into the tiny garages. That was unfortunate. We thought there was lots of restaurant options close, within walking distance and a great neighborhood market. The best part of this rental is the “710” management group. Quick to respond to questions and super nice and courteous. I would specifically look for properties that they were representing.

Not only was the home beautiful and very comfortable for our group of 11 this year (due to the pandemic, but it sleeps more), but the management team is by far the most accommodating and friendly team I've ever worked with. The turnaround time on any texts or emails was amazing and there was no doubt they were concerned with your enjoying your stay. The beach is right outside the front door and as this was our 3 year visiting the home, we will be making it an annual stay. You will absolutely love staying in this fantastic home!
