Despite being $500 a night, this resort is pitched as the budget choice for families and it shows. It’s like a Carnival Cruise experience on land. Unfortunately the first impression you get is of the pool bar (and it’s the only bar in the hotel). Think popcorn machines, all you can drink cheap spirits and beer in plastic glasses. Very tacky. Ok for a holiday on the Costa Brava but not very impressive for such an expensive place. Watch out for the 16% service tax that gets added to anything you buy. All water sports are extra which is disappointing for an “all inclusive “ resort. We even had to pay to borrow some goggles.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The overall cleanliness of the hotel and the room was good.

Overall, we were not very satisfied with the food. It was too spicy and too regional for our taste. We would have preferred a greater variety of international dishes. The selection of salads and desserts was also limited. We noticed several times that dishes from previous meals were served again in different forms. There were no air-conditioned seating areas in the common areas, apart from the rooms. Due to the high humidity, this was particularly uncomfortable when dining in the restaurant.

Everything was great. Location, food, staff, room… all great.

One of the lights in the bathroom was out and the fan and the WiFi didn’t stretch out to the beach but was manageable.

Alles was perfect!
