Our issues have more to do with Vacasa than the house: - 6pm check-in? We've traveled a ton and never experienced this late of a check-in. We rent from Vacasa each year and this is our 2nd rental through them this summer. When we originally booked, the house was with another property mgmt company that had a 4pm check in. With kids and unpacking, there isn't time to get out to the beach, so that's one less day of vacation in our minds. - And the beds are not made when we arrive? There was a package of sheets on each bed, which was bizarre. I'm sure they'll say it's "reassurance the sheets are clean" but after a 7 hour drive and unpacking, making beds is the last thing I want to do. - Speaking of clean, it probably was a good thing we knew the sheets had been washed. The dishes in the cabinets were dirty. Doritos crumbs in bowls dirty. Even if it was the guests who did this, these were the top plates and bowls so housekeeping could have seen this if they checked. The pool shower area had trash and a half-smoked cigar in it. - The dishwasher wasn't attached so it flopped forward about 10" every time you pulled out a rack. One person had to hold the racks while the other loaded/unloaded. We made multiple requests to have it fixed but no one ever set up a time for someone to fix it. - It's 1/3+ mile to the beach according to our Apple watches. A golf cart won't help much and there is no place to park it. Definitely get a beach cart through VayK rentals! - Despite that, we enjoyed all the space in the house, pool and hot tub, and basement area for kids.

Game On 203 provided us with a fantastic, relaxing week-long get away. There was plenty of room and the house was equipped with everything we could need for the week. We loved the pool and the quick, easy walk to the beach. This is the great rental for a family looking for a low-key but fun vacation in the OBX. The inside of the house was clean however the kitchen had tons of tiny ants despite all the wiping and cleaning we did all week long and we did find some cockroaches inside and out. After googling, we discovered that cockroaches are common in beach houses but still super gross to see them where you are staying! Outdoors could use a major clean up, as there was a lot of litter and tons of cigarette butts on the ground and on the deck when we got there, despite it being a smoke free rental. There were several cracked and broken plastic chairs outdoors on the deck and by the pool area. I also want to note that the dish washer is not anchored to the counter and falls forward when you pull out either of the dish racks to load or unload. This could be really dangerous for a family with small children - this needs attention!!! Although I pointed out some areas for concern, overall we had a wonderful time at Game On 203. The pool and quick walk to the beach were ideal for our family. We also loved the ability to have our pups with us too. This was their first vacation with us and they loved it!

Pool was larger than expected. House was exactly as expected. We had a wonderful time both at the house and in the Salvo area.

Game On was a very nice beach house that is pet friendly. The house was overall a nice house and a good price. The house is a little dated and could use some upgrades such as the carpet , new pool and deck furniture, and some of the sliding glass sores did not open due to rust. The house was clean for the most part. Except I think they forgot to mop the floors and run the vacuum. Other than those few issues it was a lovely time.

We must have picked THE worst week for our beach vacation. The road in and out of the island flooded, and we were stuck for 4 days during our vacation. It stormed EVERY day we were there. And yet, it was one of the best vacations we’ve all had in a long time.

There was plenty to do in the house to keep us occupied: TV, DVD player, puzzles, games, pool table. There was a grocery store nearby so we could go get hot chocolate and tea instead of drinking the iced fruity drinks we’d brought with us. I like to cook and bake, and the kitchen was stocked enough to earn my badge of approval (rolling pin…nice!!). We never got to take advantage of the pool and hot tub…but we’ll be back.

I love how spacious the house is as well as the decor. There are plenty of games and books in the house for those sunburnt days.

This is a nice and clean house. The backyard has trees and such along the property sides which gives a feeling of privacy which was fantastic! The private dock was great also. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

My husband and I stayed here with our two Siberian Huskies. Beach location:The walk to the beach was a little long, end of the street, a couple houses down and then a sandy path over a dune to the beach. Just my husband and I it wasn't bad, but with small kids I would expect the need for a wagon good on sand. Otherwise, not an issue, dogs loved it. Once on the sandy path, make sure not to stray too far from the well traveled path as we did notice tiny red cacti. Pet Friendliness:This place was awesome for dogs. There are three balconies that are contained, no stairs, which made it perfect to open the door and allow the dogs to sit out with us and watch the world go by. There is a small area around the edge of the pool where the dogs could relieve themselves. It was easy to find and pick up any waste as well. Our dogs are old, and the front stairs were too much for our pups. I was super pleased to find that once out back there was a gate that led out. We used that to take the dogs out and that was perfect. The dogs very much enjoyed themselves their whole stay.Comfort and amenities:We only used the bed on the top floor. If your thing is super firm beds, this is the bed for you. We are unfortunately not those people, so sleeping was hard. Though we did a lot of activities so it was less noticeable. The double shower and hot tub were amazing for sore muscles and were enjoyed immensely. There were plenty of pots and pans and refrigerator space for making meals while staying at the house. There were many games and tv's, so when relaxing or raining there was plenty to do. Surrounding area:We went in late March, so there was not a lot open, however we still found plenty of restaurants to eat at in both Waves and Avon. Both of which were short drives from the home. Great service and friendly people everywhere we went. There were a lot of Kite boarders out, and that seemed super fun, and there was a place to learn not far away. If we neededAll in all I would stay here again. I might bring a foam topper for the bed, but that is an us preference and is not an all preference. Every other aspect was better than we could have hoped for and we had a wonderful time.

Do yourself a favor and rent a beach wagon from the surf shop right before the neighborhood, on the left. That wagon is a god send!
