House had plumbing issues, bed frame broke while our son was in the bed itself. Cleaning service prior to checking in was so so. Had to vacuum ourselves. Contact with the owner was pleasant, fast response and easy to get in touch with but inconvenient we are on vacation and don't want to deal with house problems and we had to take care of the problems ourselves. If not, we had to dedicate a day to stay at home and wait for service. Probably nice to post on listing that renter should bring their own paper products. 3 bathrooms and left with 1/4 to 1/8 rolls of to with no extras. House very bare hones. The massage chair is to die for! Great rental bonus!

This is a very disappointing VRBO experience. I have never booked with VRBO before. We were looking for properties for a work retreat. Our initial booking ended up with a HVAC issue days before our planned visit. VRBO gave some suggestions but pretty hands off on the issue. From the suggestions and we decided on this new location under duress considering we had no place to host people last minute. After less than 24 hours we decided that is not how we wanted to accommodate work colleagues. This location did not seem like the right fit for a work retreat. I reached out to the owner in a bout 12 hours to cancel and talk it through. No response. I reached out to VRBO and they essentially said "oh well". The owner continued to ignore my messages and then the day before said nope the rules are the rules. Then continued to send out automatic messages for our stay. Which just exposed that this management/owner is not invested in individual stays or comfort. It was an automated management system. The accommodations, communication, and the experience means that I will not book through VRBO again. It is all a hands off approach which leaves consumers vulnerable when things are not right.
