We couldn't have asked for a better location, right on the beach with a pool facing the ocean. There were two of every appliance and several other smaller refrigerators throughout the house making meal time a breeze.

plenty of bed space and bathrooms, kitchen was wonderful, pool was great and beach access can not be beat. No sand dune in front!!!! parking was also good. We had five full size vehicles.

Vascasa did an excellent job , minus check in process , stated incorrectly in email. As , for the house , it was clean and had all the necessary items needed for a stay, IE: kitchen items. Most rooms had TV's and the internet works great on many many devices. The pool and hot tub were clean other then some sand. The 3 star review is due to the lack of upkeep on the grounds and in the house. Many banged up walls , house was a typical overused vacation rental that definitely need a face lift and coat of paint including some wall patches , and bathroom repairs. The pool area was overgrown with weeds and the outdoor furniture needed to be cleaned badly. Vacasa , was very informative and sent many emails to make your stay easier.

My family of 15 people arrived at this property only to find it absolutely filthy by anybody's standards. I will start by saying the A/C cannot be controlled properly and was not working when we arrived. The house desperately needs new carpet as it is beyond disgusting and filthy. The walls, not only had chips, but dry wall that was literally peeling away! The living room furniture has seen much better days and the area rugs are also dirty and fraying. The screen on the screened in porch was ripped away and flapping in the breeze. The house obviously had not been cleaned prior to our arrival as the floors were covered with sand, there were feathers leaking from the sofa all over the floor and floating in the air as if there had been a pillow fight, the doors and windows were covered with dead bugs and grime, not only on the outside, but the INSIDE as well. The kitchen still had finger marks and dirt on the appliances, and the refrigerators had to be wiped out before we could put our food in. The counters had crumbs and were literally sticky from previous renters who also left their food that they did not want and 6 pairs of sandy wet shoes, sandy wet towels and various deflated rafts and pool toys. Imagine arriving to this scene after paying nearly $17K for one week of a vacation that was looked forward to by your entire family for a year and anticipating finding a clean house that somewhat resembled the photos. I'm not so gullible to realize that the rental houses always look better in the photos, but the filth and dirt was not expected! The pool had not been cleaned as it was filled with sand, or if it had been cleaned, it was well used between the cleaning and our arrival at 4:30. The pool furniture that looks so colorful and nice on the photos - some pieces were broken. The ENTIRE pool deck was covered in sand - I don't mean the kind of sand that you get from walking up from the beach on to a deck. I am saying sand that is 3 inches deep! Our kids got splinters in their feet from the wooden deck off the living room. VACASA did send two cleaning people out on Saturday night, while we waited outside for them to clean after a 10 hour trip, and also someone to look at the A/C and get it running. The pool was cleaned on Monday and on Tuesday, some deck furniture was repaired and the screens were replaced and holes in walls plastered. They supplied us with a nozzle for the hose so that we could clean sand off the deck which we spent five hours of our vacation squirting and shoveling the sand. We also hosed off the sliding glass doors that were covered with bugs. The property manager did address the items that could be taken care of during our stay, but also made the comment that we were coming in the middle of the Summer and that is why we found the house in this condition. I paid the same amount as the person who arrived on June 1st and expectd to find the same clean, well cared for house. VACASA credited me a small amount - $341.00 as compensation. Was this a credit for not cleaning, our hours of lost vacation time - or maybe it was payment for the hours we spent cleaning for the next renter? I blame VACASA for not inspecting the property to make certain it was properly readied for the next renter. INTERESTED IN NAUTICAL NONSENSE - RENTING WITH VACASA?? THINK AGAIN!

Pros: Nice spaces. Loved 5 bedrooms with ensuites on 3rd floor and plenty of seating in common areas. Especially liked the dining table that seats 16. Nice large pool. Having duplicate appliances in the kitchen was great. Plentiful nice outside furniture. Cons: Many areas needed painting inside and out (large areas of unpainted wall repair). Needs basic weeding outside (presumably easily done), especially around the pool area, and some rug cleaning inside. We encountered ants in the bedroom and kitchen. Having three refrigerators was nice, but one did not cool properly. Recurrent problems with one of the air conditioners. Fortunately, the Vacasa folks were nice and helpful with the AC. Great potential. Just needs some basic maintenance.

We used this home as a work retreat and it didn’t disappoint. It’s right on the beach and close to a couple restaurants within walking distance on that end of Sandbridge. Great views and great kitchen.

The house is beautiful and situated perfectly in front of the beach. It is well furnished and comfortable. We enjoyed very much our stay

Nautical Nonsense is a wonderful home, when we arrived it was clean and ready when they said it would be. Being beachfront is absolutely beautiful. Would definitely stay here again.
