Die Betreiber/Eigentümer wohnen direkt auf dem Grundstück und sind abends auch anwesend. Der kleine Ort ist gut an ein kleines Einkaufszentrum und an die umliegenden Sehenswürdigkeiten angebunden. Ideal für Familien oder Pärchen, die Antiquariate, Rustikalität, Natur und Freizeitaktivitäten lieben.

Ich war geschäftlich unterwegs und hatte ein kleines Zimmer, das recht provisorisch ausgestattet war. Wer sich hier einbucht, muss damit rechnen, in einer rustikalen und von Antiquitäten geprägten Ausstattung zu übernachten.

A lovely, authentic historic house in a small and cozy town, beautifully restored by the owners themselves. There is parking available, and check-in was easy and self-service. The room was pleasant, bright, and comfortable. The house is full of interesting interior details and unusual objects that give it a lot of character. We really appreciated hearing from the host about how they restored the house and how important it is to them. The courtyard is a lovely place for breakfast or dinner. There are shops and restaurants in the town, and a large SPAR is just a 3-minute drive away. Tea is available, and there is also a coffee machine in the shared area. The host was very kind and welcoming.

One thing to keep in mind is that there is a church nearby, and the bell rings at 7 a.m. and then randomly throughout the day, sometimes quite often. It was absolutely fine for us, and the windows can be closed if you are sensitive to noise.

The historic farmhouse exudes plenty of charm and authenticity, and the owners have painstakingly restored the house with care and attention to detail. Plenty of information about the history of the house, it's owners and historical significance, as well as information about the restoration can be found in the ground floor, which serves as a little museum of sorts. The location was very convenient for visiting Ljubljana and the parking was convenient.

Unfortunately, we did not feel at all welcome upon arrival. We arrived in the afternoon while the lady of the house was in her front garden (large modern house on the same property next door), however, although she was just a couple of meters away she made no attempt to acknowledge our presence or welcome us. Having said that, the man of the house introduced himself as our host the next day and was very kind, providing some herbal tea as there was nothing to be found with the coffee and tea-making facility in the room. More importantly, and the reason for our rating, is that we barely slept a wink both nights we were there, due to a very intensive damp mildew smell emanating from the walls of the room which did not feel healthy. It was impossible to resolve this issue, as when we opened the windows to try to rid the room of the smell, there was an invasion of mosquitos that kept us awake - as the windows didn't have insect screens. In addition, the ground floor deluxe suite is directly on the corner of two main streets which run through the village and it was noisy when the windows were opened, beginning very early in the morning. Furthermore, it's worth mentioning that the house is not well soundproofed (which is perfectly understandable due to its age), and this became another sleep disturbing factor when two sets of guests - who had rented the upper floor rooms - arrived at two different times late at night, rang the doorbell several times until the owner came, then made a terrible racket carrying luggage through the house and up the wooden staircase. This is not at all the fault of the owner, but certainly added to our inability to get a good night's sleep. Regrettably, we left feeling completely exhausted after two sleepless nights which even the historical charm of the house could not compensate.
