We have stayed at a lot of VRBO's and this ranks at the top. Very clean, comfortable with every amenity possible. The view of Bodega Bay is amazing as well. The hosts are also very helpful and communicative. Will be back for sure!!

This home has stunning views, it's well appointed and well stocked. We were welcomed with champagne and chocolates and our host Margaret was generous and attentive to our needs on our last day when a major storm blew in. We loved walking down to the beach and returning to sunset views and the cozy fireplace. Oh, and the bed pillows were amazing. Thanks for the wonderfu stay!

The home, the location and Margaret as the host was all top-tier.
There were plenty of amenities at the home that made our stay easy and special.
My husband and I had a few days on our own and we had clients to the home for a 2-day Business Retreat.
It was a perfect home and the beach was a great component to the retreat!

Brought my mother who isn’t very mobile to the coast to sit and enjoy the coast from a lap of luxury at the Heron house. Great layout. We all had our very own bathrooms (newly remodeled as well). The kitchen is great, but we chose to eat out the two nights we stayed. Towels were Uber soft. Hot tub with a star showing! Fireplace in the common room! Brought bikes and stored them safely in the garage. Great 3-day trip. Well managed. Would definitely stay again next trip to Bodega.

We loved our stay at this lovely home! Very kid friendly, and beautiful views out every window. Just a short walk or drive to the beach! The home was also stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely recommend!

We really needed a worry-free, cool and comfortable spot for a few days. Boy did we ever find that spot! The reservation and follow-up communication for us to locate and access the house was terrific. And the house is great. Clean, plenty of space for all of us (3 adults, 3 children), well stocked kitchen, good beds. The view is such a treat. And getting down to the beach was simple. It is also located close to the wharf areas in Bodega Bay so visiting them was very easy with little driving. The host, Margaret, was pleasant and informative in all of her communication. I had no doubt if we had a problem needing immediate attention (we didn't) that she'd be right on it to find a solution. We took a vote and it was unanimous for staying here again if the opportunity ever arises. It was worth the fairly long drive for us (from the Sierra foothills east of Sacramento) and every penny spent otherwise.

This house is incredible! The views of the beach and harbor are magnificent. The host is quite possibly the kindest owner I’ve ever encountered. The home is beautifully appointed and well stocked. Can’t wait to return!

Cons:
Master 4 poster bed is extremely high and needed step stools to get into bed..quite difficult if you have any mobility issues or are a smaller person. Noisy mattress
Second largest bedroom on corner intersection of two streets and cars turning light up bedroom at night like a spot light!! No blackout shades!

We’ve stayed in harbor homes of Bodega Bay many times and this house is one of the best! The property is lovely and well-stocked, the location is fabulous, and Margaret (the owner) is wonderful and highly responsive! She even texted me to make sure we weren’t affected by a local power outage! This is our second time at the property and we would absolutely stay here again! Many thanks!

Here for a family reunion with many families renting in this development. Happy to say we liked our rental the best. It was perfect for
our family and had such a nice floor plan and everything you could dream of. We didn’t even mind that the weather wasn’t good because we had this lovely home to come back to after doing things with the extended family. We recommend this beautiful home to anyone who wants a perfect property.

Everything was perfect; from the direct communication with the wonderful owners, the extra towels, the location, the ease of parking, the hot tub, the beautiful silver and flatware, to the priceless views. I could go on and on.
It was a Father's Day for the record books - swimming, dining, kites, hikes, exploring the region -- everything I could've hoped for.

Margaret's home is exactly as advertised. It was clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We spent three nights here and enjoyed the ocean view and peaceful location of the home. A quick five minute walk to the beach was another added bonus. Thank you Margaret for sharing your home. House was immaculate, quaint and nicely furnished. Clearly the owner has pride in their rental. After a slight logistical problem, the owner was quick to mitigate the issue.
The property has wonderful ocean views and it felt like a second home. We will definitely book here again, and I would recommend this home for a wonderful vacation.

We have stayed at several different properties in Bodega Harbor, and Heron House is certainly one of the best! The view is amazing, and the house is well maintained and comfortable. A large and functional kitchen makes it easy for multiple guests to work in it at the same time.
3 full bathrooms also makes things convenient for multiple guests. The owners have also taken great care to make Heron House welcoming. They communicated with us before our arrival, and made certain our needs were met. The location is good, just a short walk to the clubhouse and the beach. If you are looking for a great place to hang your hat while in Bodega Bay, Heron House is an excellent choice!

For the past 10 years our family and friends have come to Bodega Bay for my sons celebration of life. This by far is my favorite place. Margaret is sweet as can be and her home is so lovely and warm. Very clean and comfortable. Sitting by the gas fire stove and looking at the views is breathtaking and peaceful. The walk to the beach is short and your not on top of each other there. If Margaret will have us again we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

A very well-appointed property! We’ve vacationed at other rentals in this development for years, but this property went beyond our expectations for the updated quality of the kitchen and baths, the general quality of the furniture and the very well-equipped kitchen! The living area is open and laid out very well. The property has terrific views of both the bay and the 10th(I think) green. My only quibble is the master bed mattress is pretty hard, but we still slept well enough. This is the best property we’ve stayed at in 24 years of visiting the Bodega Harbour development.

This house was so awesome! We rented it for a long weekend getaway to celebrate a 60th birthday during a rainy weekend in Jan 2023. There are a ton of walking options along the coast and we were able to get out between the rain drops. The property has been recently renovated and everything is top notch. The appliances in the kitchen are primo. And the owners clearly stay at the property and so the kitchen is fully equipped with anything you could possibly need (the most impressive kitchen I have ever rented). The views of the ocean and bay are great and we loved the gas fire place. They have provided lots of games and puzzles. Overall it was a fabulous property and we will definitely be happy to come back here again!

We loved this house! There were six of us and we had plenty of room to relax together, cook together (the kitchen was fabulous-a few more instructions would be helpful) and enjoy the beautiful views. The house was warm and felt like a home-not a rental. We definitely would rent this house again!

We have been vacationing in Bodega Bay for years and this house is by far our favorite. It was extremely clean and well stocked. We didn’t want for anything. The views are fantastic as well. Communication with Margaret was quick and easy. We loved the welcome goodies and the comfy overall feel of the house The design of the house in general allowed everyone to be close yet have their own space when needed. Highly recommend this property!

We had such a good time celebrating our 75th bday at the Zeiger's house on Heron Drive. The house itself is situated high enough to see the bay, some of the golf course, and Bodega Harbor. With three ample bedrooms on one level, each with its own well appointed bathroom, beds fitted with crisp linens, comfortable pillows, warm duvet, and perfectly firm mattresses, a restful sleep was enjoyed by all. There were enough large windows throughout the house to bring the outside in, as Frank Lloyd Wright would note. The open design of the main living area, including the kitchen and dining area, provided ample space for all of us to gather, laugh, tell jokes, and together cook and enjoy fabulous meals with fresh ingredients from the sea and local shops. The Wolf stove and other high quality appliances were not lost on us at all; neither was the incredibly thoughtful gifts of a bottle of Mumm, a bag of local chocolate covered toffee, and delicious plum jam made by the owner. What a welcoming, delicious, and kind gesture! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Margaret. We had a wonderful time. We want to return to stay longer next time in your well appointed, comfortable house, just a short walk to the bay's edge, with lots of shore birds, seals, shells, and tide pools to explore and enjoy.

We have stayed in many locations in south Bodega Harbor, and this rental is one of our favorites. It has an incredibly well-stocked kitchen, and the views of the ocean and the neighboring wetland are outstanding. All of the beds are comfortable, and it is a perfect place to spend with friends. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The views were gorgeous and the environs were true to the descriptions and pictures posted. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and what a treat to see the ocean while preparing food! The living room was comfortable for our party of four and we were even able to watch football on the TV. Margaret was extremely responsive and helpful and her suggestions for dining were greatly appreciated. We would love to return again!
