A very personal and relaxing stay in Ella. This is a simple and relaxing accommodation, so keep that in mind when booking, but it has a truly unique location. Tucked away behind the mountain, away from the busy main street, it offers beautiful views of the surrounding tea plantations. It takes a little longer to reach Ella by road, but there is a shortcut through the tea plantations, which is also a lovely walk. The relaxed outdoor area with couches is a great place to meet other travelers. The host was very kind, offers tours and even drove me to the train station to make sure I could continue my journey smoothly. His two lovely animals made the stay even more special. Everything was clean and the Wi-Fi was excellent. A peaceful oasis away from busy Ella!

Perfect place in the nature, peaceful and silent. Only 10 minutes walking from Ella. Amazing breakfast. Good internet connection. Clean rooms and bathroom. There is also a lovely cat and dog. I had my best stay in Sri Lanka here, met nice people and discovered the surroundings by scooter. Definitely a recommendation.

I originally booked this hostel for just 2 nights, but I ended up staying for 10 nights—and that says everything about how amazing this place is. Nestled among beautiful mountains and surrounded by lush greenery, the hostel has a peaceful, authentic vibe that makes it feel like a true home in nature. Waking up to the fresh air and breathtaking views every morning was amazing. What made my stay even more special were the two lovely pets, Charley and Lessy. They are the heart of the hostel and instantly make you feel welcome. Their unconditional affection and playful nature genuinely make you feel connected and remind you of the simple joy of being human. The host is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and full of positive energy. If you’re visiting Ella and looking for more than just a place to sleep—somewhere you can truly unwind and feel the nature—this is the place.

Mein Zimmer war sehr klein und hatte Ähnlichkeit mit einer Zelle, Haus ist in landestypischem Zustand, Der Weg vom Stadtzentrum über die Strase ist recht weit, die Abkürzung über die Teefelder habe ich erst nicht gefunden. Über die Abkürzung ist man zu Fuß in 10 Min in der Stadt, Das Hostel ist recht klein, groß Connecten kann man hier nicht!
