Darling Pub Hostel

The property was cleaned and comfortable. It’s quiet and relaxing. The staff are very friendly and outgoing.

I slept at dorms. The one of room mate who is not quite. He spoke phone with his girlfriend when I was sleeping.

We booked the private room for 4 people and we liked basically everything. For the price, you really can't find anywhere better. Location is superb, very close to city center, room is very spacious even for 4 people, plenty of sockets, extremely quiet at all time of the day, acceptable ac, hot/cold shower, all the necessary amenities, soft bed, overnight moto parking, everything very clean basically spotless from the towels to the room to the bathroom, the restaurant price is acceptable and the food is delicious. The best part however is the staff, very helpful, very polite, willing to assist you with anything at any time of the day and they made our stay felt very warm and welcome.

The bathroom near the pool area is quite small if you're planning on using that. The ~100m road from the hotel to the main road is unpaved, so it could become muddy red dirt if it rains, but nothing too crazy, we rode our motorbike through just fine. Some minor parts of the room is showing its age like the socket or the tv but again nothing too crazy and still very clean all around.

I stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room with a balcony at Darling Pub Hostel. Everything during my stay was actually very good. Considering the affordable price you pay, you get very good quality here. The room was clean, quiet, and spacious, featuring a very comfortable bed, a great shower, and perfect air conditioning at night.The best part of the property is the incredible staff. They make you feel right at home. When I checked out, everyone came out to say goodbye, which felt just like family and was incredibly kind.Since I visited during the low season in Cambodia, there were very few guests around. This made it perfect for me because I loved the peace and quiet. The on-site restaurant also serves good quality food.

If you are a traveler looking to socialize and meet a lot of people, the low season might feel a bit too quiet or boring for you. Also, it is a pity that breakfast isn’t included for free, and the restaurant prices can feel a bit expensive compared to typical Cambodian pricing.Additionally, the access road leading to the hostel gets a little dark and muddy at the end. I personally found it okay, but it might feel a bit unsafe or uncomfortable for a solo female traveler walking alone at night. Lastly, please note that the hotel charges a $20 joiner fee if you want to have an extra unregistered person stay in your room.
