Nothing to not like

Stayed in a couple of apartments during my trip to Seychelles and this was arguably the cleanest and spacious (at least for a solo traveler). The host, Ricky, was also super helpful & kind.
It’s quite the distance from everything.

Very comfortable apartment, with an amazing views of the Indian ocean on one side and mountains on the other side. Host, Ricky was fantastic. He drove us to Port Launey on our way out.
Far away from the beach, restaurants or supermarkets.

Ricky and his family were wonderful hosts and very helpful/accommodating. The place is sparkling new and clean, and we had everything we wanted in terms of kitchen and supplies.
We much preferred staying here versus anywhere else on Mahe. It's up a hill from the beaches, overlooking the lagoon. Nearby Port Launey became our local beach, we went there probably 10 times in a week. This side of Mahe is much less commercialised / looking for tourist business, and so it felt much more local, slow, friendly.
Anyone wanting to do a self-catering holiday, especially as a family, should stay here, no question.
We struggled a lot with the noise of the neighbourhood dogs who barked at each other all night long, especially at 3AM. Perhaps that's when fishermen get up to go out? Ricky the host was wonderful, and did try to help. He did note that they were going to install more soundproof windows as soon as they arrive [it is a remote island and so things take a while]. If the windows could block out the sounds of the dogs, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.
