Aurora Hotel & Italian Restaurant

The breakfast was very good and served promptly with plenty of choice and freshly cooked. The evening meals although due to family commitments we didn’t have this time but were always excellent choice and taste and again service and staff first class.

The hotel doesn’t have a lift and having mobility issues was tricky managing the stairs and obviously should things deteriorate will have to reluctantly change to a more suitable hotel which is the only downside on a personal basis.

Charming place, the owner was so kind. Location was perfect. Bed was extremely comfortable.

From the warm welcome on arrival and clear explanation of the facilities, right through to breakfast the following morning, I genuinely couldn’t fault my stay at the Aurora. Dinner in the restaurant was extremely tasty, and the cheesecake was absolutely delicious. The waiting staff were smartly dressed, friendly and attentive, and the whole restaurant had a very professional but welcoming feel. Breakfast was equally good, with a traditional Scottish feel, plenty of choice and prompt service, something I particularly appreciate when I need to get moving in the morning. My room was modern, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The en-suite was equally modern, with a large shower tray and dual-headed electric shower. The mattress was extremely comfortable, there were plenty of conveniently positioned power sockets, a large-screen TV, and tea and coffee-making facilities. There is also ample on-site parking, with additional street parking available alongside the hotel.

I honestly can't think of anything I didn't like about my stay.
