Very noisy at night from the street

Great location, I could easily walk to the places I wanted to see. The instructions for entering the building were clear. The apartment had most of what I expected. The bed was comfortable. There was a slight issue with the bedside lights and air-con which was dealt with really swiftly. Excellent service.

Not all the facilities as described on Booking.com were in the apartment. There was no washing machine or dryer or clothes horse, all of which I required, having spent two weeks on holiday travelling from Budapest to Poznan. I eventually found the washing machines and dryers on the 1st floor (I was on the 5th floor and as I checked in after 5pm there was no-one on reception to speak to). No clothes horse to be found. Other than this issue, I enjoyed my stay.

Conveniently located, beautiful old building

Although it was in a conveniently located, there is currently construction work being carried out directly in front of this building. This was not communicated at any time prior to my arrival and belies the title of this business. ‘Serenity’ is not what I experienced during my stay; after walking up Ratajczaka St with a heavy suitcase, through road works, I was greeted with a strong sewage smell upon entering the foyer of the building. Once inside the apartment, it appeared mostly clean aside from faecal residue left in the toilet and pubic hairs in the shower. The noise from Ratajczaka St was an assault to the ears even after closing the windows. I stayed only 1 night even though I paid for 3. In addition to the construction work on Ratajczaka St, the noise from the trams running along the adjacent street (Swiety Marcin) kept me awake enough to turn the fan on during my 1 night stay in an effort to drown out the noise. The noise from the road works starts around 8am: generator, angle grinding, jack hammering, shouting… I messaged reception to enquire if there was another room available on the interior only to be advised that all standard rooms face the street! So, a warning to anyone the books a Standard Room: it is noisy!!! At the very least, this business needs to change the name because it’s far from serene.
