Millside Cottage - a cottage that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms

Dieses kleine Landhaus in den Bergen heißt dich in Keswick willkommen. Whinlatter Forest Park ist nur 11 Gehminuten entfernt, sodass du dein Auto auch mal an der Unterkunft abstellen kannst, die praktische Parkplätze auf dem Gelände bietet. Oder aber du setzt dich ans Steuer und fährst die 4 Minuten zu dieser Sehenswürdigkeit: Derwentwater.

Nach deiner Rückkehr in dieses Ferienhaus mit 80 Quadratmetern kannst du im Garten ausspannen oder auf der Terrasse oder im Patio etwas trinken. Wenn du genug Zeit an der frischen Luft verbracht hast, gibt es auch drinnen dank WLAN-Internetzugang (kostenlos) und Fernseher tolle Möglichkeiten zum Zeitvertreib.

In der Küche gibt es einen Ofen, eine Herdplatte und einen Gefrierschrank sowie eine Mikrowelle und Kochgeschirr/Geschirr/Besteck. Zur Ausstattung des Badezimmers gehören ein Haartrockner und Handtücher. Und damit du nicht so viel Kleidung einpacken musst, stehen dir vor Ort außerdem eine Waschmaschine und ein Wäschetrockner zur Verfügung. Zu den weiteren Annehmlichkeiten vor Ort gehören Bettwäsche, ein Bügeleisen/Bügelbrett und Heizung.

We have stayed at Millside Cottage many times before and it's a favourite of ours. Cottage is very homely and well equipped. It was great to see that the shower has been upgraded. One suggestion is that the new Wood burner is not that practical to use as there is no companion set, or at the very minimum an available poker. Having a fire at home, we know that sometimes you really need a poker to "re-adjust" locations of logs within the fire to ensure that they are sat correctly.

This was our second visit to Millside Cottage, the location is ideal , it's dog friendly and you can park your car safely off the road. There are some fabulous walks straight from the door for all abilities from a pleasant stroll to a bagging a string of Wainwrights. The cottage could do with some new furniture as the sofas are worn and somewhat uncomfortable, the front of the house were you park the car had some loose pavers and could do with weeding to give the property the appeal it deserves. Having said that we would stay at Millside again because of it's ideal location and the fact that we always receive a fantastic service from Keswick Cottages.

Having stayed at Millside on numerous occasionsit still feels like home each time I arrive. The cottage is always warm and comfortable and well equipped, On site parking is good and the enclosed garden is of a great benefit (especially when bringing your dog).Braithwaite is ideally situated for exploring the northern lakes. If like me, you hold a bus pass, travelling around the Lakes from Keswick is a great journey way of enjoying Cumbria.

We have stayed in Millside cottage several times previously. The cottage has obviously had an upgrade which to be honest was needed, but it's in a lovely location, convenient for travel (minutes to Keswick by car), walking etc. It now has a new log burner, new shower, coffee machine in the kitchen and the paint has freshened up the whole place. Parking is dedicated for two cars and is generally okay but the lane can get busy and congested. There is a new electric charging point for those guests now having electric cars. The garden, although quite small compared to the cottage directly opposite, which we have also used before, is a sun trap and ideal to sit in with a morning coffee. The views are gorgeous and those climbing the "Barrow" can be seen from the kitchen too. All in all, ideally situated, but the TV and associated technology could do with being replaced.
