The host was really friendly & put me at ease as a solo traveller

The room was very small & very basic.

The room was very clean and spacious and the private external bathroom was just in front of the room. The position is fantastic to visit Lisbon and there is a private garage quite near where we were able to put the car for 12€/day (estacionamento sao bento).

The noise was a real issue, the walls are very thin and unfortunately we were there at the same time of a very unpolite couple who put music until 2-3 am and again at 7 am, my husband is not a heavy sleeper and he slept very badly for two nights in a row, ruining a bit our stay. The host did try to solve the issue and was very kind and understanding but there was not much he could do, so if you are a light sleeper I would simply go elsewhere. I would rate this place as an 8 for heavy sleepers like me and a 6 for light sleepers like my husband, hence the 7. The shared kitchen could be cleaner.

The beds were quite comfortable and the temperature and noise was ok - we slept very well. The bathroom was modern, and the hotel itself was quite quiet. After our miscommunication with the staff we got an upgrade, which was nice.

Unfortunately we tried to drop off our bags early - and despite confirming time of drop off the night before and messaging in the morning to say we were on our way, when we arrived we stood at the entrance for an hour ringing the door bell, calling the listed phone number, and messaging the property to no response (we then went to a coffee shop and waited for another hour, to no avail). We eventually got a response in the afternoon, and due to this misunderstanding the hotel upgraded us, but in our new room there were several hairballs on the floor when we arrived.
