10 min walk to train station. Easy access to restaurants /caffes/bars. Owner met us upon arrival . Kitchen for guests to use -fridge stocked with h20. Very quiet despite restaurant /bar below

Great location directly at Piazza Cairoli (walking-distance to piazza Duomo in 15'), breakfast in a closeby bar, very good wifi and functional room (in our room the bathroom would need maintenance e.g.broken shower door). Luggage storage for late-checkout.

They have two buildings we stayed in the second (not main). The description said that we'd find a fully equipped kitchen. Unfortunately, once we started cooking we realized that we had to buy some basics (e.g. plates, knives). There was no dining table either. If you plan to cook, check first if everything you need is actually available.

the staff is helpful, the location is good, the breakfast is simple but tasty and fresh

the shower cabin is extremely small, when showering water is all over the bathroom, there is no place to put things, it is not clean. the parking they offer and which is charged requires you to leave your keys, the parking staff is unprofessional and causes a feeling of discomfort to leave your car there.

Good location, close to main Piazza and tram stop that takes you directly to Messina Centrale. Good for a one night stay. Use of shared kitchen / fridge is helpful. Free water.

At first glance it looks good, however when you look closer there are a lot of holes in the walls, mould in the bathroom. Breakfast is at the bar downstairs but it's just a coffee and croissant, no other food.

Rather close to the train station Messina is not at all a touristic town- this can be a plus but also a big minus.. quite strange for us at the beginning Nice cocktail bar just nearby with live concerts and great atmosphere from the locals

The room looked nothing like in the pictures- we were given a room in another building nearby Breakfast included- at a cafe nearby (cocktail bar at night) where you can have a croissant OR coffee.. or at least that is what we were told.. however in some days, the cafe staff was nice enough to give us both coffee and croissant.. the cafe place was closed on sunday and monday since it was a public holiday.. the second day we found out that we can have breakfast at a kiosk nearby The AC needs a freon replacement, it did not get the job done No supermarkets or food stores nearby- very hard to find even water or small food to buy

By car the b&b it's quite close to the ferry embarkation for Villa San Giovanni.

After 8 p.m. there is no staff and you can only communicate with the responsable of the b&b by phone. The b&b is located in a car-free zone, you have to park in the parallel street (:unattended and paid parking except on Sundays) and drag your luggage to the b&b, there is no lift. In the hallway of the building where the b&b is located, both in the evening and in the morning I saw cockroaches (but not in the b&b) Breakfast is only possible from 7 a.m. (I had to leave earlier, but I managed to make a coffe with an old and almost broken coffee machine). If it had been possible to cancel without penalty, I would gladly have done so. It is probably a place for young people who have no problems with carrying luggage and who like a rowdy nightlife. I'm sorry.

Excellent staff, clean and pleasant room, walking distance to the center. 800 meters 10 minutes walk to the astrological clock of Messina Cathedral

Cinematic location amongst and within stucco fronted period terraces over looking the main square , with a small private balcony We missed our ferry to Calabria and our hosts provided a close by apartment at very short notice for the same price for the extra day , which saved us a lot of stress and hassle , could not recommend highly enough

Access to the apartment was difficult with communication and waiting for access.

The room was awful- one of the worst I have ever been in & that includes 20 years working in remote parts of Africa. Entrance 'hall' (from the street) was wet, stained, & dark & smelt of urine. The passageways were dark & grimy! Any windows/ glass were filthy! The room I was placed in- had NO bearing at all to the photos placed on Booking.com It should not matter that the room was a 'single' - it was like being in a 1970's converted office space. No windows- a glass panel high in the wall. Tiny room, (tiny single bed, smelly, dark brown quilt & smelly pillows) - the room looked like an old, tired converted office room of the 1970's! Stained walls. I hesitate to call it a wardrobe/stuck to a drawer or shelf below & could not be used without squeezing into a corner & legs being whacked by the drawer. In fact I think the room (I was placed in), was indeed a converted office space. It was like being 'locked away' in a cell! The AC switched itself 'off' when turning off the lights in the bathroom- it was 38 C & the proprietor failed to mention that one of the switches in the bathroom needed to be left on to keep the AC on! The reception as such, was a dark desk, in a dark room, in the 'office' space outside the bedroom. The whole place was creepy & extremely depressing, & if I hadn't hauled my luggage up 3 flights of stairs, I would have immediately gone to a hotel! No water provided, no fridge, no kettle, not even a glass in the room! I am 157 cm, so short & small, but showering in the tiny cabin was dreadful! Although the proprietor was 'fairly' user friendly, & agreed to store my luggage whilst I took a trip to Lipari island which I completely appreciated & offered to pay for- it was not a pleasant experience at all! This accommodation was NOT value for money & ruined any positive thoughts of Messina.

The room was spacious, and aircon was a life safer! Also enjoyed the smart TV. Relatively close to the train and ferry stations, and very close to main shopping street.

I booked the room for 2 reasons; It had an early check-in time, and because the pictures showed the bright and relatively modern bedrooms, with different feature wall colours, and the bathrooms matching. Unfortunately, I wasn't put into one of those rooms, but rather in a different room, in a different building. A room is a room, and I just stayed for 1 night, but was still a bit disappointed that I was put into a room that looked different to what I booked for specifically.
