The US Grant, a Luxury Collection Hotel, San Diego

This has been my second favorite hotel on the planet since I stayed at it with my husband back in 2019. And my two-night stay while visiting a friend this past weekend did nothing to change that vaulted ranking! It is such a *pristine* place in every way! One's room gets cleaned, straightened, and re-supplied with fresh towels *every* day, pre-pandemic style! The concierge works into the evening hours! A male staffer I contacted via phone only a couple hours after checking in, tracked down the backpack I'd left in the women's restroom on the first floor, and then phoned me up to say he'd found it and put it with the suitcase I'd left at the front desk. The Grant Grill cheerfully made avocado toast customized to my fussy friend's specifications for her breakfast, and then cheerfully replaced the steel cut oats I didn't care for with some drop-dead fabulous whole-grain toast. The valet staff were super friendly as were the housekeepers as was the front desk staff. In short, there was absolutely nothing to be unhappy about during my visit except perhaps the carpet! The 2019 patriotic-themed one was soooooooo much classier than the current blue plaid!

Amazing staff! Very helpful! Good food at the restaurant! Best French toast!!

Hotels beautiful elevators are little small and sometimes have to wait for a few times to get when people are all leaving at the same time great Hotel definitely overpriced

The rooms were very clean the beddings were changed daily that was a surprise we were impressed by that gesture. friendly and well knowledgeable staff. breakfast was very delicious and they served very professionally.
