The Clifton Motel

Drains were blocked and shower flooded half of the carpet room I stayed in. No one on reception and no after hour line so I had to sleep in a room with the gross smell of a soaking carpet Got wet and almost slipped every time I went to the bathroom also Other than that everything was great. No offer of compensation for the shower and drainage issue.

Property location is excellent. Close to the waterfront, and easy walking distance to all of the central area shops, bars and eateries. The property itself is very tired though, and in need of a big update. Although the bathroom was very clean, there are some cracked tiles, crumbling plaster and outdated fixtures. The bed was comfortable enough, but lacking the softness of a good hotel bed. The air conditioner worked well, but was quite noisy. There is a microwave, kettle and toaster in the room, and crockery/cutlery was offered at check in if required. The small bar fridge worked well and was adequate for our requirements. Plenty of parking available on site. Staff were professional and efficient.

Good location. Tidy room.

Had a good stay. Enjoyed my time there.
