Really enjoyed our stay. Nice service as always. One minor thing - seems they have stopped putting bathrobes in the rooms which would have been nice.

A perfect girl’s weekend. We enjoyed being able to sit in the lobby close to the fire place and with the option to order a drink from the bar. The bedroom was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. Plus we saw a couple of deers on the hotel property and we were able to get very close. This is most definitely not our last time visiting St Andrews and staying at the Algonquin.

Love the feeling of this property it truly is special and authentic , very nice place to relax

Elevator was broken which is not ideal to walk up to 3rd floor with luggages and hockey bag.
They were very accommodating for hockey parents to have areas to socialize.

Not as fantastic as I thought it would be or what other reviews said. I asked to change rooms because there was a broken curtain rod and the beds were very saggy. I did get an upgrade after I complained and got a breakfast voucher. The food was very good. The hotel could use interior painting and a good scrub in the shower.

As always the Algonquin never fails to please. Our number one get away choice.

The property does not accommodate for accessibility and even though an accessible room was booked and call made to confirm we did not have an accessible room on arrival and it took 5 rooms until we could be accommodated and that was ONLY after asking another customer to relocate. Travelling with a 90 year old Senior and it took over 3 hours to get a room a check in. Very Disapppointing .

Thank you for a great family weekend

This was a beautiful property and we had a lovely stay. The room was clean and contained some of the early 1900’s charm although clearly it had been updated. The only thing I would mention is that the mattress in our room likely needs replacement as it was soft and lumpy. But otherwise a wonderful stay.

Pleasant place to stay in a beautiful area.

Historically it was interesting to visit this hotel but we would not care to return. After being in several guest focused hotels we felt the primary focus was on how much extra they could add to our bill. Including a $15 charge to park our car overnight on their own property.

The resort was, for the most part, very enjoyable and memorable. Our room, with taxes and similar addons was a little over $400 for one night, Canadian. When we checked out I learned that our continental breakfast, which should cost $15 per person, was charged as a full buffet breakfast of $25 each. When I called this to the attention of the check out clerk she had to refer the matter to her front desk manager; in turn he had to refer it to the waitress who had, apparently claimed despite my protestations, that we had just had the less expensive continental breakfast. That, in turn, required the intervention of the dining room manager, who had to review it with the property manager. The waitress, who had given us very poor service, first claimed that my wife and I had had omelettes which was not true. ( Omelettes were not on the continental breakfast) She backed down on that allegation but then claimed that the one piece of french toast and the one pancake, that I had taken, was not part of the continental breakfast, despite what the maitre de had told me and my wife when I asked the choices and differences between the full buffet and the continental. I would not cheat on the price of a piece of french toast and a pancake, even though I had paid over $400 for my room for one night, and I found it insulting the manner in which this was handled, even though eventually they agreed to reduce my breakfast charge from $25 to $15 for each of us. 5 staff to resolve it!
