We’ve stayed at Christie Lodge many times, and we love it. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, there’s 2 indoor pools & hot tubs, ping pong tables, a game room, and an outdoor pool & hot tub that’s open year round. Inside the hotel there are comfy sitting areas, a sports shop, Subway, and my favorite pho restaurant. The staff are fantastic…friendly & helpful. A bus takes you to Beaver Creek Village and runs on a regular basis. It picks up right in front of the hotel. There are many restaurants, bars & stores within walking distance from the hotel.
I’d like to call out one particular staff member who went above & beyond. His name is Andrew Vidal, Executive Housekeeper. My husband & I were on a month long road trip, and Christie Lodge was within the first week of our trip. An hour after we checked out, I received a call from Andrew saying I left my iPad in the room. I was flustered and didn’t know what to do, so I asked him to hold it and we would pick it up on our way home at the end of our trip. The next morning I called Andrew and asked if he would be able to ship the iPad to my cousin’s house in California, where we would be later that week. He said he would ship it via UPS. I gave him my credit card info, and he said he would email me the receipt and tracking number. That same morning I received the email as promised…the shipping cost so much less than I thought it would be!! My iPad arrived at my cousin’s house the same day we arrived there. Andrew is the BEST!

Despite some of the negative reviews, I was surprised that it was better than I expected. It was quiet, clean and easily accesible to coffee shops and stores. We would love to stay here again and would recommend it to others!

Stayed here for a weekend ski trip. The room was big with pretty much a full kitchen. The shuttle to Beaver Creek picked up right outside the door. There was a subway and a Pho restaurant on site. The Pho restaurant was excellent too. We didn’t take advantage of many of the amenities. There was a laundry, hot tub, and ski shop on site.

Annual ski trip- love this location and amenities. Love ski shuttle, hot tubs and quietness of setting. Easy access from Eagle Creek Regional airport.

Really good staff and really clean room. That hotel can be very loud and people are all up at all points in the night.

The Christie met our needs for a quick trip to Beaver Creek. The rooms were clean and fairly quiet. I was concerned as we were above the interior hot tub and ping pong area but they close them early and guests were considerate and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Convenient location, quiet and clean facilities.

The location is nice and the shuttle stop is right off the lobby. That was really convenient. The architect was high when he came up with the layout though. The bedroom is too tight and if you choose the wrong side of the bed your shins will tell the story. There are no luggage carts because there's no way to get then to your room. I felt like I was in Mykonos where they designed the village to thwart pirates. I called the front desk at 9pm asking for late checkout and was told I would need to call housekeeping to ask if they could accommodate us. The next morning. At 9:30. Checkout is 10. The place is very dated. The furniture is uncomfortable. We were in a suite but there was only seating for two. All this for only $300 a night. Pho 20 was decent. Passed on the hot tubs as the looked to be ancient.

Very convinient location, overall great stay 👍

Property has a great location for everything. Could use more outdoor hot tubs
4.0
First of all the layout of the suites is absurd. The main entrance leads into the bedroom, so you have to walk through the bedroom to get to the kitchen/living area. Therefore the bedroom is absurdly loud. If you need towels you either have to get them from the hot tub or pray that housekeeping will not forget your room. The hot tubs are constantly broken and running at about 80 degrees. The only elevator is at the front desk, so if you are in one of the wings moving in and out is a hassle. The kitchen has no oven and just one cooktop and is therefore unusable. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great place. Outdoor pool and hot tubs are great after a day of skiing
6.0
Very conveniently located, and generally clean - but very noisy. Inside pool and hot tub are over-used, which is fine except for the noise echoing throughout the place. Don't expect to be able to rest/relax until they close the pool area each night.

Love the location. The build is old, but is clean and comfortable, not bad for the price

The Christie Lodge is a great hotel to stay at when visiting the Vail Valley. Eco friendly, great amenities, very clean. I would book another stay. Especially, during the ski season.
4.0
The Christie offers very nice suites in various sizes and has been updated with modern decor and amenities. All units include a separate living area and efficiency kitchen. The common areas are expansive and well furnished. The layout is rather strange, but the rooms won’t disappoint. Not crazy about its restaurants, Pho Vietnamese and Subway! Fortunately the town of Avon has a number of other restaurants nearby.

Great spot and met my need for a quick overnight stay well.

There were not any bathroom condiments such as soap shampooe lotion. This would have been nice to have on hand.

We just did a quick overnight so can't say much, but the bathroom was recently updated and the bed was comfy even if the suite set-up was odd (bedroom in the front/sitting room and kitchen in the back). Super clean. Location made all the downtown Avon stuff super walkable. Our unit was on the first floor in the back so the patio wasn't great (view of an electrical box, rocks and a wall. Our stay was perfectly fine. The place is just a little dated.

Bed was very uncomfortable. Arcade closes at 8pm.

Structure has been designed with too many steps creating half level rises, Too long corridors and lack of sufficient elevators you must carry your luggage up & down many steps to get rooms especially if your room is located on the farthest wings

Like having a room with no windows very dark

The lodge is perfectly located. It was clean and comfortable. The only complaint is that our room was right near the indoor hot tubs and ping pong tables so we listened to kids screaming all day. Thankfully the noise stopped around 9:00 pm.

Front desk staff was super friendly I always feel like home whenever I stay here.

This was perhaps the worst hotel experience I have ever had and I travel 100+ days a year. I was traveling alone to get in a the last few days of the ski season. Given that it was a lower rate than many in the area, I can forgive the fact that it is an old, quirky hotel in desperate need of renovation or rebuilding. What I cant forgive is the way the manager responded to my complaint that there were bugs (more than one species from what I could tell) in my bed! Her immediate response was that her housekeeping manager said that he checked and there weren't any and that there was no way for them to refund my prepaid room nights. Only when I told her I had pictures of 5-6 dead bugs (two were definitely bedbugs, the others were larger and some kind of larvae) and sent them, with a letter explaining how it was in their interest to immediately have me refunded, did I get a response from a more senior manager. Lesson one with hospitality, when you have a problem admit it... Lesson two, never call a customer a liar. Lesson three, stay on top of the cleanliness and health/safety of your hotel rooms. I did finally get the amount credited back to my card and stayed at another hotel for my remaining night. I have had to take extra steps to ensure that none of that was brought into my home. It was an awful experience.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.
