Everything about this place is bad. Don’t waste your money

Our stay was not very good. Getting the TV to work was impossible with the input requests. Our toilet would not flush in the middle of the night. On top of this, there was no drinking order by Memphis, which is not the hotel's fault, but they did not have sufficient bottle of water for the guests nor coffee or tea. Breakfast was meager.

The room was in poor shape. There was evidence of a previous water leak that had not need repaired fully. The breakfast had no protein and was very limited in options. They bed was surprisingly comfortable based on the conditions.

Meltdown in Memphis
The normal, reliable Marriott quality of service was AWOL this weekend, along with all of the staff this
morning at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Memphis East/Galleria location. Upon arrival, Friday night, the 22nd,
we ran into oddities, as the woman on the front desk gave us wrong information about the pool hours and breakfast
hours. We didn't find out about the error in breakfast hours until the next morning, as we arrived too late for
breakfast because we were told it would be open an hour later than it was. Then this morning, the hotel lobby
was completely empty, except for a couple guests. It wasn't readily apparent if we were witnessing an employee
walk-out or some sort of protest, but the lobby this morning at 8 am was completely devoid of hotel staff.
No one was at the front desk, no breakfast staff, no managers, and no housekeeping! One patron had been waiting
in the lobby 15 minutes, by the time we arrived for anyone to show up, but none had. About 8:30 am, a young man,
who looked like he had just woken up and judging from his hair and attire, came in and said that he was the new
general manager. Lots of luck to him, given the state on the hotel this morning. Apparently, the hotel staff
and current management needs a total overhaul! He did the only thing he could to provide us with breakfast and
sent us to the sister property next door, a Springhill Suites, also Marriott. Having to truck across the parking

We had reservations for a King size bed. At first, the service person at front said they were oversold of rooms with king size beds. She came through with a suite with a king size bed. Kudos to her. The room was clean, but some of the other areas of the hotel needed cleaning. Breakfast was lacking several items such as regular milk, bread and fruit. The host was working hard to accommodate, but may not have had all the supplies.

Hotel staff was very unhelpful and the manager Suraj is absolutely horrible at his job. I was double charged for two rooms and it has been over three weeks and I have still not received a phone call back after numerous times reaching out. The hotel was not that clean and definitely needed some remodeling.

The staff at this location were outstanding. Greeted so warmly by Julia, who gave us suggestions for sightseeing and dining. Juliana was the night person and was just as helpful; we needed an additional bath towel and she got right on it. Every staff member we encountered had a smile and pleasant greeting.
The room itself was comfortable and clean. The bed was super comfy, and the shower was to die for. We had an issue with the bathroom light shutting off arbitrarily, and that was repaired the day we reported it. Amazing. We did learn that the hotel had just been acquired by Marriott five days before our arrival, so the area manager was on site quite a bit.
The breakfast was somewhat sparse and boring. The girl who took care of us the four days we were there did everything in her power to accommodate the guests, having quite a bit of supply issues. For instance, the dairy products were not delivered, so she arranged to have a large container of creamer sent (or purchased) for us. This little young lady worked her fanny off for the guests. It was quite commendable.
Although we were unable to use the pool, it did appear clear, clean and inviting. Parking was somewhat sparse, however, we like to park where we can see our vehicle from our window. There are several hotels in this area, easy walking distance from one to the other, and we did feel safe. This hotel is in an area that is in close proximity to really good restaurants, shopping and highway access.

Reserved a room with double queen beds for a reason, the only room they had with that was a room with no bathroom light, bathroom fan was so loud, toilet would not stop running at all, drawer was broken on chest, lamps had rust on them. Wasn't worth what was paid at all!

Very friendly and efficient staff. The lady in the dining area was exceptional. Very accommodating to the guests and their needs/wishes. She appeared to be the only person on duty for a very hectic and busy weekend that included sports fans for the Southern Classic and a young women’s soccer team and their families. The desk staff was very efficient in quickly accommodating check-ins. The hotel was clean and staff was on duty maintaining the cleanliness of the public areas. In terms of improvements, replacing the antiquated, low sitting toilets with chair height toilets would significantly increase the comfort factor.

Place was.a little difficult to locate... signs should be on driveway. Keys didnt work , vut desk clerk was very ,very helpful. Thank you Julie.. also the pool was being.serviced, so we missed our swim..

This location is convenient and within walking distance to several restaurants, gas station, and liquor store. It's a 5 minute drive away from a mall and several other stores, and right off of I-40. The facility and rooms were clean and the staff friendly and helpful. There is security patrolling the lot at night, so it feels safe. The hot tub was out of order and elevator was sketchy (folks got stuck once). The pool was good, but had a lot of chlorine in it which made me not want to get in it. Other than those two things, I would highly recommend and stay again.

Upon arrival based off of the terrible entrance to the parking lot I was lead to believe this was the generic version of the Fairfield Inn’s. I’ve stayed in beautiful ones in Nashville so I guess I expected every Fairfield to have the same vibe. The desk people were friendly. Now the room had a smell, I’m not sure if it was coming from the air conditioner or what. It smelled like wet mold almost. Luckily we had Lysol to stop the smell. The TV took some time to work. The toilet would not flush, the counter top in the bathroom was filthy…it had not even been cleaned. Also the refrigerator does not get that cold so maybe come with some sort of cooler. The breakfast was a little sad… I just expected better. I was there due to a power outage so it wasn’t the worst. But I definitely wouldn’t stay there for any other leisure purposes. The hallways are extremely dim as if it were a motel.

So we was on vacation and we went sightseeing . The only major problem was the pool closed at 9 pm and it was inside they need to change the time of there pool hours

I had a great check in experience. The counter person was very helpful and nice. However, the elevator was not working. Then, there was a storm and there was no electricity all night. No one's fault but not fun. Checking out was a good experience as well. Great people and clean rooms. And that's what's important to me.

This was one of the worst stays I’ve had in a long time. The door to my room looked like it had been broken into at some point, the bathroom sink did not drain, the main light in the room was not working, the room didn’t appear to have been dusted in years, and the elevator was out of order. Not to mention that a super storm went through the area and left us without power for the last two days of my stay. The staff was not helpful and offered no help or solutions for food, power, etc. Now they are refusing to accommodate me. Marriott - do better!

Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately room service never came or supplied fresh towels. We had to call the front desk for towels. Pool was nice 😊

This is a fine property for a quick stay overnight. Staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good too. I would stay again.

For the money, it was a good deal. Our particular room had a couple of issues: a broken drawer, bathroom light fixture slightly unhinged, and bathroom tiles loose. This just comes with the age of the hotel and issues that were not pressing. But the staff was great and super accommodating. Along with the hot breakfast, we'd stay again.
