The motel is a little older and could use some updating, The price of the motel was a bit high, I was in a rush when I looked and after the fact discovered I could have stayed at a more upscale motel about 8 miles away for about the same price as this motel. With that being said, the staff was friendly and overall our stay was ok.

Room was clean & neat, but a bit less than sparkling. Typical hotel mattress was pretty hard, wish ALL hotels would realize most of us don't tolerate such hard mattresses! But pillows were soft, fluffy & plentiful. Also, room was very hot, despite the heat being turned off, but we were able to open a window to cool it down. Kind of a typical small town "Mom & Pop" place. No breakfast or any amenities except coffee. However, the staff was delightful, friendly & caring. We had made an error in our reservation & they were more than helpful in accommodating us, so we wouldn't miss a special family event that we were specifically driving up for! That more than made up for the short-term lack of comfort.

This is a no frills, older hotel, but our room was clean, beds were very comfortable and linens were thick, not cheap. The staff were very friendly. It was fine for the price and a good sleep as we were just passing thru.

Nice property on Lake Superior but unfortunately one of our two queen beds was terrible. Sloping & jiggling as you tried to climb on! Almost as if the mattress was balanced on a poor boxspring. I ended up using it as I am much smaller than my husband & could find a stable area on the bed to sleep.
Also our bathroom smelled strongly of “old” urine.
Suggest a deep cleaning.

The staff was great. There is no elevator! The room was very nice but the beds are tall. We will definitely stay again. There is only one chair in the room but they did let us borrow chairs from eating area to play cards with the kiddo. Everything was very clean. Beautiful area by the marina, if only the weather would have been better we would have loved to go walking down there.

This wasn't a bad place by any means, and I would stay here again if I needed to, but I travel with 2 well trained dogs, and $30 per dog/per night adds up quickly.
This was the highest price I have ever paid for a pet friendly hotel. Many other places even wave the fees entirely as long as they dont make a mess or damage anything.

The beds were terrible lumpy and uneven. The bedding was rough and scratchy and off white with wear. It was also hard for the air conditioner to keep the room a constant temperature . We would go back if these things were improved

The clerk who checked us in was very friendly. The ice machine was out of order. The room was comfortable. The pillows were small. Other than those two issues, it was a pleasant stay.

Short walk to see lake Superior was nice, no vending machines and ice machine was broke. The hotel is over priced for what it is ,I have stayed at nicer hotels for less money.

The hotel was ok, it does not have an elevator and when I asked about a room on the first floor, I was told they didn’t have any rooms available. The next morning there were only 6 cars in the lot, so it wasn’t booked up. The ice machine was broken and after 3 days it still had not been repaired. The staff was friendly, just not sure why I couldn’t get a room on the first floor or why there was no attempt to fix the ice machine. There is no view of the lake from your room, unless you stick your head out the window.

There was a card that says do not disturb on one side and maid service on the other
We left the card hanging requesting for maid service er came back to the room and there was no maid service spike yo some one at the front desk and he said that there’s no housekeeping service so hotel should not have a card that says maid service when there’s none

The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean…all the basics. The building inside and our room badly needs updating as it looks like the 80’s inside. Due to these issues, the room rate is very high, particularly when it does not include breakfast
