The room was a good size very spacious. I did find dirty linen in the bathroom. And the ac was crazy. It makes a weird sound off and on then cuts off

The room had an electronic window shade. It was broken. The side just hung from the top roller, and we could not move it at all. So, I don't know if we had a view or a patio. The broken shade let insight that we could not block leading to a bad night's sleep. I reported the broken shade immediately upon our check in. Ants in bathroom and sleeping room. Shower floor in need of a very strong scrubbing; yuck. We noticed that after we showered, the carpet OUTSIDE our door was soaking wet. Upon entering the room after breakfast, we almost slipped and fell. Not sure what caused the water, but it was terrible. After putting your foot down, you could see water around your shoe.

When checking into the hotel it was a normal check-in.
The only thing with check-in was that I was told nothing about the hotel, the time of breakfast or the amenities to the hotel.
We then checked into our room everything was fine except in the picture it shows a stand-up shower. I felt as though the room that was pictured was not the room I received. Everything else was good until that evening.
The sink did not fully drain and had ants on the desk. I tried to tell someone but every time I went downstairs there was no one at the desk.
Breakfast was okay however the seats table and floors were filthy.
When checking out I threw my key cards in the container at the desk no one was attending the desk so I could not complain or ask any questions.

Excellent stay! Friendly staff, quick check in and comfortable room. Standard Holiday Inn Express breakfast and amenities, and you can walk just a few feet to Chipotle :)

RELAXING. The moment you walk into the room, you relax. Fluffy white queen beds, beautiful nature view out the window, clean roomy bathroom. I think the way the white shower curtains are hung made the shower look more spacious and relaxing. Thank you!

Clean hotel with friendly staff. Room 217 where I stayed has a small refrigerator/freezer that cycled on/off approximately every 15-20 minutes. When it cycled off the pipes in the wall would rattle approximately 5 seconds and was relatively loud. This made it hard to go to sleep and woke me up often during the night. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay.

Decent place to stay for a few nights. Lot of construction equipment in parking lot. Plenty of dining.

We had no hot water for showers placed near loud noisy kitchen alarms and people talking way into night all in all we will not be back

The recent renovations made the hotel beautiful but they’re not being kept up as well. There’s noticeable upkeep that needs to be done; re grouting of floors, paint touch up.

Quiet, Comfy and Clean. Excellent breakfast buffet - probably the best I've had anywhere, including another Holiday Express. Staff is pleasant and efficient too.
One small complaint - the entrance off the highway is extremely hard to find - just a low sign well back from the road edge and overwhelmed by the Wendy's out front. We circled the area several times before we spotted it, even though our GPS kept telling us we were there.

While the hotel has no smoking signs at every room, it is not enforced. Weed smell is all over the building. Our first room had an air purifier in it to help with it, but it was extremely loud and I couldn't sleep. We were moved to another room that was much better, but the hallways still had the weed smell.

The mattress I had was very old, and felt like it should be in the dump, but that was not the worst. I got into the bed and felt something on my foot. I pulled back the sheets, was there before me was a human TOENAIL with little black bugs surrounding it. It was also clear that the sheets had not been cleaned in a long time.

Only down fall the elevator broke down for two days. But we was on the second floor. But I was on crutches. It wasn’t that bad

I have stayed at this location before it is in close proximity to my family. Everything was lovely EXCPT for onr glaring problem, I DID NOT HAVE HOT WATER FOR the 3 days I was there. It was no fault of the staffs but it could not be fixed while I was there.but I was given false hope several times. Sometimes it's better to aress it with you. under normal circumstances it is lovely there

Was told I was being charged an authorization fee of $50 at check in. When I returned home, there was also a $96.08 authorization fee taken from my account that I DID NOT AUTHORIZE!!!

Pros, every staff member we encountered was extremely nice and personable especially Lauren. Hotel was clean, bed comfortable as usual which is why we only stay at Holiday Inn Express. Cons, low on toilet paper, towels were thin. Breakfast was typical of free hotel breakfast but there was mold on bagels, pancake machine was broken, no fresh fruit. But easy to find something to suit instead. For the price, it was well worth it and we would stay there again.

the switch for the heater light didn't work. Things were a little out of sorts because of the work being done. Neither vending machines on one or two were operating. Other than that everything was clean and comfortable.

Staff was friendly and room was clean. Needs some fixing in areas. Our room had a hole in the ceiling patched with masking tape and the window outside was broke but covered with a nice shade. Overall we were happy. Very accommodating to dogs!

The Holiday Inn Express in Gloucester was very nice. The complimentary breakfast was delicious not to mention all of the options to choose from. The staff were very warm and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and will continue to stay at this hotel when we visit family and friends in Gloucester.
