There is two sides to this hotel; the B Cozumel and B unique. They are so drastically, different, my daughter and I had labeled there is the good place and the bad place and we are in the bad place, which was B Cozumel. It is almost as if, the owner decided to renovate one side of the building, and completely neglected the other — as if they ran out of money in the midst of construction renovation.
The beds are uncomfortable, the sheet is uncomfortable, the rooms are small, with uncomfortable seating on the balcony and in the bedroom. The bathroom looks like a slap on job with paint on all the tiles, the door is moldy in the bathroom. The temperature in the room is a cool hot humidity that makes the bedding damp.
I literally have nothing good to say — the food at the restaurant is Asian, which was really good. This is only the second bad review I ever leave for a hotel in the past 15 years and I travel monthly.
If you were going to book, be sure to book specifically with B Unique.
Note: even a bottle of water is anywhere from 4 to 6 dollars! Keep in mind, you cannot drink the water in Mexico!
Note: the photographs they have here for B Cozumel as a description for the room with the black and white bohemian look are not the look of this hotel. They are for their attached hotel through the lobby.
We were in transit for one night, but from where we came from, it was not a nice way to end our last night in Mexico.

Our second visit to Hotel B after 12 years. We were saddened to see there have been no updates to the rooms since then. The rooms and balconies are in desperate need of repairs/ maintenance. Our sink was filled with black mold, the room smelled very musty.
The A/C worked very well and hot water was good. The restaurant is next door at Hotel B Unique. The food is outstanding!
I returned to this hotel to the best snorkeling I’d ever experienced. I did not get to snorkel this time as the “Dive” shop was rarely open so I could get a snorkel and fins. This was the biggest disappointment of all.
Hotel B is a very mixed bag, not very friendly employees, old rooms, yet gorgeous water and great food.

The food was terrible. It was a fusion of mexican and asian. But it did not deliver. All food was cold, even when ordering ala carte. The restaurants servers were not very friendly to us( mexican nationals) we felt discriminated at times, as other foreign guests were served promptly and with good attention. Food wait times were ridiculously long even when the restaurant was empty. Drinks were ok. Facilities were ok. Ala carte breakfast was confusing, again as a result of the unfriendlyness of the servers.

Got there to be charged more than i had prepaid, including taxes etc. In the room paint was peeling off every wall, collee machine broken , tv not working. Staff did not understand english, toast toasted on one side only and hours old , coffee was horrendous, red wine was ice cold out of a fridge and could not buy a bottle as hard as we tried. No smoking except on the other side of the road ( not advertised). I would strongly say go some where else at the high price they charge. The advert pictures you see are for the more expensive side hotel b unique. The waiters attitudes ( males) were bad . Overall terrible

Waiting time to check in was excesive, since it appears that his all over, they make copies of passports and ids and make you wait until the paperwork is done. The room was so old and rustic. There were no electrical outlets near the beds or accessible. The tv in the room was so small and poorly programs. The lighting was also poor with incandescent lightning. The beds were horrible, uncomfortable and old, and worn-out with bedding sheets horribly hard including the pillows. The breakfast food was not good either, very limited and horrible. Some parts of the hotel is under construction, and the hammering and work starts as early as 8am and goes well after 9pm. The noise is unbearable laud. I will never stay at rhis place ever again.

Our room definitely did not have enough outlets. Otherwise it was great.

It is a great location away from the cruise ship scene, with fantastic swimming, clean rooms, and a friendly staff. I like it. Thank you, Marcella and Juan.

The room we got for the price on here was a horrible room. It should not even be available as a room. It smelled like mildew, the water didn’t work, and it is probably for staff when they are stuck at work. We were offered an upgrade if we wanted to pay extra, which we ended up doing after the fact, because it was that bad.

Hotel B is the hotel to visit when needing to get away & unwind. Daily yoga w/ a beautiful ocean view, spa that you can melt in, onsite restaurant but everyone is sooooo nice. The view is to die for! Only thing i would change is being aware of discount, promotion & the free breakfast. They didnt tell us all the details up-front & reminders

Views! This hotel is part of the northern hotel chain. It is in a more quiet part of town but it is right on the water with unobstructed views. Stunning sunsets! You will need a car to get around town if you stay here but it beats dealing with the daily cruise ship crowd…
The facility is basically 2 separate hotels, the older side and a new side. We stayed in the older side now designated for families and the new side is for adults only. The access to the ocean, restaurant and “beach” were open to all. You could tell the family side was older but we were still comfortable and the pool was beautiful. The views were stunning anywhere in the hotel.
Not sure what the VIP part of the service was but the staff was super friendly and helpful.

Access to colorful coral reefs, tropical fish and crystal clear water. Downtown with abundant shopping options, fantastic restaurants and cultural interests. Hotel B staff were the very best, I would highly recommend a visit.

Just don't. I paid for a room with sea view. Almost $200 USD a night. I got a ground floor room with view to the pool and a giant bush. The sliding glassdoor was broken since someone had obviously tried to break in there previously. I lost 2 days of vacation with my family just waiting around for the right room, for them to fix that sliding door on the ground floor. The bathroom smelled like sewer and the door was just rotten. Th rest of the room was really ugly. When I finally was moved to the room I paid for, I was told that I had been "upgraded". However, the new room had a connecting door to a service room where I can hear the workers talk and watch tv at night. Also, at thew new room, there was a construction worker who almost saw me naked from my bathroom window. The manager refused to give us any money back for us to go to another hotel and said they have a no refund policy. The manager said they were overbooked. A lot more happened.. just don't waste your vacation here.

We went Cozumel for our daughter wedding. Our room was given to us. There was no mini refrigerator nor a iron or iron board most important the ph wasn't working. When i made my reservation all the items above were listed on the website. I went 2 nights with old smelly towels room dirty unti we had enough. My husband had to make a comment to the front desk. They were very aware it was 4 staying in the room. And here they provide us with only 2 large towels. Again here we made another complaint. The worse one of all is the smell of sewer 24 hrs. Horrible smell to deal with while getting ready for your day even mostly when getting ready for bed... 😭😕omg I can honestly say i will never be coming back here...NEVER!!!!!

The views of the hotel pools are amazing. The ocean views are great. But that's about it. Room conditions are poor. Out dated rooms. We requested a King size bed and were given 2 beds. The shower made a loud noise, then there was no hot water. Then, the water completely turned off. Was told there was maitenance being done at 3pm. The shower curtain rod fell. Overall the rooms in the hotel are all in need of a major makeover. Hot tub didn't work, had to call maitnance to turn on everytime. Water wasn't hot.
The plus are the views, the food was good, drinks were decent and the staff were lovely.

The staff is excellent. Two employees deserve mentioning, Marco and Rodolpho (server). Rooms were comfortable and very clean. I love that the hotel allows dogs. All I came across were very friendly and brought smiles to all. Especially Holly! This hotel needs to have refrigerators in all rooms. Also, having access to bicycles is wonderful…they definitely need to be upgraded and available for taller riders. Restaurant has very good food and offers a good variety of breakfast choices. We also ate lunch and dinner there a few times and enjoyed. It is located less than two miles each way to town, so we were able to walk to town several times and enjoy local restaurants. Very small beach area, nice choice of easy listening music was played in a soft tone…not the loud blaring typical resort music, which we really liked! Snorkeling is good and easy to access, there was a Life guard on duty certain hours and he was very attentive and professional. All employees were very friendly and helpful when asked any questions.

Small hotel with excellent design and separate chill-out areas. Fantastic snorkelling out front.
Areas to improve: put fridges in rooms; better quality and value for food and drink; prevent people reserving sunbeds and then walking away.

Hotel B is very comfortable, relaxing and safe feeling. The staff is so attentive. It’s very clean. It’s my favorite place to stay. I’ve been here five times and always enjoyed myself

Me and my boyfriend stayed here February 13th thru 17th and it was way better than expected. The room was average but the view was amazing for such a great price, the staff was absolutely awesome, especially Davíd, he was one of the nicest people weve met in Cozumel. The snorkeling around this area was better than other places weve gone down south, the drinks and food was amazing, and we liked that we didnt see any young children. The infinity pool and lounge beds were dreamy. We will probably be back in Cozumel in a year or 2 and probably book another week at Hotel B and hope to see the same staff.

Hotel B is a great hotel and I would recommend it. There was a few things that could be improved.
1. The food - the chef tries too hard to make foreign food and it is not working. The Pad Thai is not Pad Thai. So just call it Asian noodles instead. It tastes ok even though the chicken was really dry (but ok) it can happen. The Vietnamese rolls should not have crème cheese in it and the beetroot - just wrong. The fried rice was more like a bad risotto.
The Breakfast Buffet - they killed the eggs and there was not a lot of choice for gluten free or choices in general very repetitious. Green, herbal tea and coffee is part of the breakfast but black tea is not? You charge for that - why? And it still tastes like coffee since the water comes from the coffee machine.
2. It would be nice to have a coffee, tea and water station during the day - I think you are priced high enough to offer that.
3. While checking in you don't get enough information about what is available and where to find things.
4, The renovations are not too noisy but you can still hear hammering and sawing.
I have only told you what I didn't like and I could add a few more, they are small and I don't see the point.
All in all the Hotel is nice, it has a fantastic location and the staff is really helpful. We had a great stay.

This was my first time to Cozumel and we debated on an all inclusive then we found Hotel B!! WOW!!! If you are looking for a party scene...NOT IT! If you are looking to relax and sit near the ocean or pools then you found your place. Service was beyond excellent! Food was fantastic and the facilities were very clean and very well maintained. I would give more stars if I could.

Was just OK for the price. Half Hotel is the “regular side” and half the boutique side. Didn’t like that part. Offered free breakfast in the listing but it’s not anything significant. For the price I expected more, for example, my toilet back part
Was cracked and broken,
Bathroom tiles cracked or
Chipped, towels well worn and some with stains, room could use fresh paint and the CONSTRUCTION NOISE was constant until about 7pm each day including weekends. Interesting concept, perfect location, super
Nice staff, just needs some TLC for the price.

My husband and I spent a week at Hotel B. This is a VERY beautiful place where the staff are friendly/the food is good/and it is very clean. If I hadn't been visiting other friends on the island I would have had no problem staying at the resort the entire stay. We paid a little extra to have an included American breakfast which was either an omelette/scrambled eggs/ pancakes or banana oatmeal pancakes with fruit and orange juice/grapefruit juice. The food was good and plated very pretty each morning. We also tried the French toast which we had to pay extra for one morning but it was very delicious. we ordered burgers for lunch while swimming which was also very good.
The snorkeling was ok along the wall we had to be careful not to hit the fire coral however I was disappointed the dock had been broken 2 weeks prior and was not up for our trip. I am not the greatest swimmer and had chosen this location due to the appearance of easier snorkeling ..... Hopefully it will be back up soon. If I ever return I would absolutely stay here again :)

I have stayed at this property two times in the last 6 months. The first one was at Hotel B-Unique and the second one, Hotel-B. I found both areas very comfortable. Everything is great! The only small suggestion I have relates to the smoking areas. I noticed people were allowed to smoke in NS areas and by the stairs that take you to the sea. I believe that this is not just disturbing for non-smokers but also dangerous for the ecosystem due to irresponsible smokers leaving cigarette butts on the sea rocks.

The property is beautiful and very well maintained. There are plants everywhere outside, as well as a sculpted sand area and multiple pools and multiple intimate seating options. The food was wonderful as well as the service. Faustino at the desk was so helpful to us, he set us up with multiple diving trips. The free breakfast is delicious and not a basic continental breakfast. The menu offered lots of options, many of which were healthy. Our room was easy to get to, no long walks, AC worked great, and everything was truly special. We enjoyed every moment we spent on the property. We checked out with Marisol, and she was also fantastic. JUST BE
