Needs a bit of updating on many levels…rooms, quality of the food (especially for the price), overall facilities. Great kids club

Excellent location, great landscaping, plants, pools within hotel area. Big size. There are a lot of nice hotels nearby. Great shopping and restaurants area in walking distance.

Melia had great service, good food choices, excellent accomodation at an affordable price. I would return time and time again. If you have a young family, the organised kids activities and daycare are fun.

The gardens and property are excellent staff were fantastic so friendly food was excellent beach bar area is superb

The hotel is in beautiful well-kept grounds. The staff are very helpful. Breakfast was a bit of a free for all. We had a slight issue and this was resolved very quickly with the management team.

This was everything you would expect in a Bali resort- amazing and authentic cultural pieces . The service was phenomenal and spa was great. It was just before the holidays so dinner reservations were tough- wish we'd known that ahead of time- but what we had on site was really nice. We'd go back !

Spectacular grounds. Loved listening to the birds in the mornings from our balcony. The staff is very helpful and cheerful, always smiling and respectful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The grounds are beautiful and the kids club is excellent, best we’ve ever seen. We stayed in a family suite and it was nice. The rooms are getting a bit dated now, particularly the bathrooms. Myself and my son both got sick from meals we had in the hotel. The staff were lovely. Slower service in the restaurants but around the pool very quick. Would recommend to families.

Extremely courteous staff, smiling always and willing to help. Quality of food and drinks at the restaurants was superb. Perhaps need to offer more vegetarian fare on the menu. The breakfast becomes a bit monotonous. Could be changed around a bit. The Indian fare on offer, considering the number of Indian visitors, was very minimal and could do with refreshing and updating at least once every 2nd day.

All inclusive plan is very comfortable and all staff were very good hospitality. We'd like to visit again. Thank you.

It was in a really good location and the staff were really trained well so the service was impeccable. Breakfast in the morning was good varied but the same menu daily so after a few days felt quite boring. They have more attention and emphasis to their level members and so if you were not part of it you had a different level of service.

Good location, excellent service and good food. Unfortunately, dated facilities that could be upgraded and too many bugs in the beach chairs.

Place was great will definitely go back . Maybe steer clear of the grilled seafood platter in the lotus restaurant though. Got sever food poising after consuming and spent the good part of my holiday sick in bed .

Very disappointed would never return

AC isn’t powerful in the room. It helps. Could be more stronger making it pleasant to sleep. The facilities are lovely, lots to do inside the complex if you want peace and quiet. Nice breakfast with many choices.

This hotel was the nicest place I have ever stayed. Any problems that I experienced were small and nitpicky. This place was truly paradise.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. We booked a pool side room but we’re upgraded to a beach side villa. It was absolutely fabulous. Just wish we could have stayed longer. The choice of restaurants were excellent. The Spanish restaurant and buffet were both very good. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. We really enjoyed the hotel grounds, hotel garden and animals.

Had a lovely stay at Melia. Upgraded to the Level family which I think is essential to fully enjoy the experience. Otherwise there are large sections of the resort that you do not have access to. The floor of my room - 3321 - was very dirty. My feet were black if I walked around without shoes on so this needs improvement. We booked a day tour to Nusa Penida through Melia but feel that we did not receive any information that we would not be leaving from the main marina; but rather with a smaller private operator. As a result the trip over was longer and very bumpy which made us nervous. We were also not prepared for the crowds, congested roads and poor sanitary conditions of the toilets on the island, so the tour desk needs to properly prepare guests with more information. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay. The staff are so lovely, and apart from the cleaning issue mentioned, do an amazing job.

We travelled as a family with our two teenage daughters. The Meliá is a large hotel but the service from all staff was incredible. We were made to feel very special and on a number of occasions the F&B Manager, Sulandra made visits to where we were dining to ensure we were satisfied. The food at each establishment was excellent with our favourite being the Japanese restaurant. The activities on offer were good fun and again the staff/instructors were fantastic. We would recommend the Meliá whole heartedly and look forward to returning soon.

My husband and I loved our stay at Melia Bali. The hotel is beautiful. We enjoyed the multiple options for food and restaurants within the hotel. The spa, the pool and the beach were lovely and very relaxing.But overall and what we appreciated the most was the kindness of the people, they made us feel welcome. We would definitely stay again at this hotel if come back to Bali.

Great experience

Fantastic experience.. would like to return. Beautiful resort with beautiful smiles all around.. nice beach and pools.. only concern was non English speaking abilities of few staffs and missing orders (2 times the waiter missed to get us the desserts in El Patio restaurant and one time room service missed to deliver 4 bottles of water ordered). Other than this Melia Bali was excellent.. You can also add more options for drinks and food menu for all inclusive packages.

 Don’t let the great reviews fool you. It’s really a 3 star property!!! Because it’s the oldest hotel an nd the only all inclusive in the area you should expect a certain type of crowd. No service at the beach or pool. Only one pool that’s filled to the brim with kids or pool activities so forget about relaxing by the pool. The room smelled like mold and was old, run down and damp. Cheap lounge chairs scattered everywhere with no staff to clean up after people. It’s a budget hotel. I only fault it so much because it is rated 5 stars when it’s clearly not. So it really wasted an entire day for us in Bali. Thankfully we only booked one night. I hope this helps in choosing a resort that fits your needs in Nusa Dua. It’s so far from luxury and it’s kind of a joke. If you want a 5 star hotel look elsewhere for sure!! There is no comparison to the hotels we stayed at that were actually 5 stars. If you want a great experience in Nusa Dua spend a little extra. It’s worth it.

The rooms are already a bit old. In the shower the water came only in a thin line and it took quite a while to wash my hair, also everything was wet after as there is no real door or Glas cover. Unfortunately the guest reserved the long beds already around 7 am in the morning at the pool and at the beach which was really annoying. Even there is a sign, that the towels get removed after 30 min and nobody being there it did not happen. We ask for additional long beds which they were not able to provide. For a 5 star hotel I expected that enough long chairs are there and not that Geist just block them already in the early mornings then go for breakfast and show up only at noon. The pool is also smaller then shown in the picture. Breakfast was ok, but we had much better in other hotels in Bali. But the garden area is just stunning and also the beach is great.
