I enjoy staying at Ocean Park because we can bring our small dogs. We stay there several times each year. Before Vasca took over we were greeted with friendly staff. When we arrived this time, I thought I had reserved room 208, instead we got 608. We prefer the lower levels for health reasons. I attempted to explain the problem to the desk clerk who had greeted us with a stoic stare. She had a heavy accent and I’m not sure if she understood my problem. I felt sorry for her inadequate communication skills and accepted our room. Later We decided to stay a couple additional days. When we requested to stay we were told our room was already rented. She didn’t offer to look for another room. Later I looked online and there were at least eight rooms available. We decided to leave as scheduled since we would have to check out at 10AM then wait until 4PM for the new room. Retaining customers should be as important as obtaining new ones.

Bathroom too small and the property was not very clean.

The view was awesome and staff were super nice they were always cleaning . The room was clean and pretty decent other then a few cosmetic things in the room but that didn’t affect us and was expected. But over loved it and it’s made our family want to come back again . lot of stuff near by and even received a few coupons upon checking in . Bed is on the firm side which I didn’t mind . Is dog friendly but with being the off season we didn’t even hear the dogs we did see . You do have a 10 digit code to get in your room which I thought it was going to be a pain but really wants that bad . Over all loved it !!

Didn't get the chance to find out how the hotel would've been, due to unfriendly staff at checkin desk that wouldn't let us check in! We had our 1 yr. Old boxer with us, but they wouldn't allow that breed of dog. Do you think the hotel specified what breeds were allowed or not...NO!! Otherwise I wouldn't have booked a room there. If a hotel says pet friendly, they better allow any breeds, otherwise specify what breeds are allowed!

The room layout was awesome. The resort had everything and was very near any stores you might want to visit

It was a great New Years stay.

I had a good experience front the start of me checking in, it was super quick and easy. The room I had was super clean and had a cute kitchen with a balcony over looking the ocean. Hot tub and indoor pool were clean and people were considerate. They do have a dog grooming room for your little pets. I will book here again! Thank you staff!

The entrance to the room is controlled by a combination lock consisting of 10 numbers, it is highly frustrating. The keypad is small and it took numerous tries to enter our room. Several other guest had the same complaint. Maybe it is seasonal but guest have to return their used towels to the front desk before you can get fresh towels. They are pet friendly and the staff was helpful.

The young lady who checked us in was wonderful! Very friendly and accommodating. We had an issue with our door code and the maintenance guys were so friendly and helpful.

Ocean Park is located right on the beach. It is pet friendly and the staff do an excellent job of keeping the property clean.

What really got us is that we had 3 people with our group and only was allowed 1 set of towels/wash cloth and when we tried to get more they told us to use the towels we got then bring them down to trade them out each time after everyone took a shower.. very inconvenienced. We also did see a roach. The room did smell clean like pinesol.

We arrived at the hotel at 8pm for our reservation. This “pet friendly” hotel would not let us stay here because we have a boxer mix. When I explained that I read the policies on hotels.com and it did not say anything on breed restrictions they said I know, we’ll refund you. The staff was rude and did not try to resolve the situation. Luckily, hotels.com moved us right across the street to The Sandbar Hotel. They were friendly, cleaner, and offered free breakfast.

I was doing a quick solo trip with my pup. When I booked, I asked for a room at the top and AFTER booking and paying, they told me I was in room 208. I called and asked if I could go higher since I have a dog and he barks at everything. They told me no. I almost cancelled but I would have lost my money. Room 208 is horrible. You can only see the ocean on half of the balcony. You are right there with the hot tub and there at the balcony area at the hotel where EVERYONE can see your room, inside of it, looking in your room. Room 208 is NOT AN OCEANFRONT ROOM AS ADVERTISED. When you do not have a clear view from your balcony to see the ocean, it is NOT an ocean front view. My dog barked at all the people that got to see in my room. This was such a horrible experience. I will never stay here again.

Hotel room was very clean and nuce to look at. We had a nice balcony view. I loved that the hotel was so close to the beach and so many pools to swim in. It was conviently located near many things.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The bathroom wasn't clean, hair everywhere even embedded in the towels. There was sand in the sheets... did they not wash them? The kitchen was also disgusting and there were dust places. Our neighbors threw ragging parties every night - they were college kids. So much for only having two people in a room and being silent after 10pm. Weed stunk up the place and they were loud, we told the front desk the third night. They told us they had it under control... lies. We couldn't sleep the whole trip which made it difficult to have a fun vacation for how tired we were. Highly DO NOT recommend.

Our stay was very good as usual.

I choose this hotel because is pet friendly I have 2 huskies so when I got there the girl told me that they don’t accept husky breeds so I told her that there was no policy on the website about it she was very rude and told me they had a paper on the front desk that has the restrictions and she was not going to accept my pets how am I supposed to know that they had that restriction she said that I should of called to ask but clearly on the website said there is pets allowed nothing else I had 3 rooms all my family went to have fun but because of that I had to leave my family and go somewhere else with my pets

The resort was great as for as cleanliness and service. We happened to get caught up in a college fraternity event booked at the resort and unfortunately we did not get any sleep due to this event. Awful!!!! Would book again but I will make SURE there is NO college groups booked the days I book. Manager was very helpful and apologetic.

The room was clean, parking was good, convenient location, and this place is pretty pet friendly for my Cairne Terrier. My only gripes were the beds which were uncomfortable and noisy plus I never stayed at a hotel that was so strict about check out time which they didn't allow a bit of a late checkout. If you don't leave by 10am someone will be banging on your door in 5 minutes.

Great location. Nice room. Clean and comfortable Fully stocked kitchen. Extra towels. Enjoyable stay. Negatives would be: No screen on the patio doors. Elevator like most hotels was not clean enough. Stairway had one floor that had an odor. Would use this hotel again!!!

it was terrible I had to clean my own room, you had to exchange your towel's there were NO amenities at all not even coffee the only thing they provide to clean the room was a broom. the room I paid for I didn't get, there were dogs all over the place, when I tried to get a hold of expedia they never call me back

Liked that it was ocean front. Though the facility is old, more attention can be focused on the cleanliness of the building. I mopped our room along with cleaning and sanitizing it. I also put mattress protectors on top of the covered beds and used our own covers. There was hair left all in the shower, floor not swepted good, used tissue on floor, food crumbs on the phone and stand, the wipe down could have been better on everything and a last walk through. Definitely wasn’t worth the price. Since this was a last minute booking, I would say this is the reason and next time I will definitely book ahead but on the Northside for a better experience.

We were very disappointed especially with what we paid. There was no room service, room was run down, air conditioner didn't work well. Floors were flithy, I cleaned the bathroom with clorox before we would use it. We'll never stay here again!!!

Hotel was filthy, no maid service. You had to return towels daily for clean towels etc. I would not recommend or stay here again.

It was a nice, clean place to stay on the beach. We were allowed to have our dog, they have a place to take them to the bathroom that was kept clean and nice. We had a nice stay and would stay again.
