I was running late because of road closures. Without any prompting I was given access to my room to get changed before check in time. Very friendly staff.

Very good service, friendly staff & good food. Party season so probably quite a bit more late night noise than normal. The room had everything I needed & was clean. All in all a good stay at a reasonable price.

A historic pub with great food in the heart of Stony Stratford. Great breakfast was included and cooked for you rather than on the buffet. Our room was generous in size and clean and comfortable

Nice stopover

My room was over an entrance to the carpark so the room was very cold. The radiator never really got particularly hot even with the valve fully open. I asked at reception if I could have a portable heater and was told they didn't have any. Hard to believe in a building of this size. I feel it was more that she couldn't be bothered to look for one. At one point I resorted to using the hairdryer to warm the room!! Room was dirty, dust, cobwebs, and spiders everywhere. Decor tired. Old wooden sash windows all latches broken, paint peeling, wallpaper peeling. Every electrical appliance PAT testing out of date, some by almost 3 years! The cold tap in the bathroom has to run on full bore for 4 minutes before it gets warm. What a waste! Restaurant food acceptable but nothing special. Cutlery dirty, dried food on plates, and coffee stains in cups. No bottled water in the room, but £3 for a 300ml bottle in the bar! Good points: Breakfast excellent. Free Parking. Nice old building full of character. Bed comfy. Not much else.

No so good to stay here, No wifi signal, tv kept buffering, cold shower in the morning. room felt it was unclean, pubic hair in the sink. the only good thing was the food wasnt to bad, bar staff were friendly

The room was dirty with holes in the wall. Bedding was dirty and we had a leaking shower. We left at 5 in the morning as we couldn't sleep. The ares was fantastic and would stay in a different hotel.

Lovely hotel, very clean and very friendly staff.

After a dreadful journey, the receptionist was very helpful & advised me that there was a wedding the following day & recommended to go down to breakfast the day after early. I was not disturbed by the wedding guests. The location was good & there was plenty of parking. Breakfast was good! The only slight inconvenience was that i was told that the bar shut at midnight on Saturday & when I got back at 11.45pm I was told this was not the case. However this did not spoil my stay & I would stay there again

Extremely comfortable room and bed. Food quality excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. Stony Stratford a lovely village with plenty of shops and history. Convenient for Bletchley Park and surrounding area. Would certainly visit again.

This is an old building dating back to 1480 an as such you cannot expect perfection. However the period features and uneven floors add to the character of this lovely property. I didnt eat in the bar but food looked good and nice choice of beers. The room was clean (apart form cobwebs around the window) but was good overall. Water in the shower took a few minutes to come through hot but thats ok.

It was ok, but a little tired.Guess what you expect from an old coaching inn, but with a few tweaks it could be so much better. Maybe time for a refit.Staff good though and all very friendly .Luckily we know the area as on our 2 nd day the car park was full, we managed to park in an adjacent car park until such time there was a free space near the hotel later in the evening.

Building lovely, well furnished and located. Check in staff very friendly and easy to talk to. All ok until 11pm when the pub was due to close, guests were still out in the courtyard until 12.50. Loud, shouting, laughing, general sort of noise you’d expect from a large group but I’d expect more from management in terms of suggesting they respect other guests or indeed go to their rooms seeing as it was gone midnight on a Monday night and the courtyard was right outside the rooms. Not helped by the fact the window was stuck open and the lock was wedged so it couldn’t be moved, short of breaking it there was no way of getting the window closed. Shame as I stay locally at least once a week and thought this had potential as a regular stay.

They were so helpful and even got me a meal when I did not get there till 9pm, the only thing was there was no lift to the rooms but room and bed was very comfortable

Hotel Tied and in need of some TLC, the staff were great really friendly and helpfull.

Great location on the high street in Stony Stratford. Arrived early and received Avery warm welcome and the opportunity to store our bags. Enjoyed a browse in the shops, lunch and a riverside walk before checking in. Everything is close by. Our room was very comfortable and larger than expected. All staff in the hotel bar were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. A great experience.

Contact receptionist by telephone non existing! Rooms not serviced daily even on request. Breakfast expect long wait and when finally arrived cold mushrooms every day consistently! Same with evening meal long wait! Not the best chef!steak undercooked! Strongly recommend avoid.

Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. Food and selections of drinks was good too. Really enjoyed our stay. :-)

Good but could do with some redecoration and attention to very creaky floors.

The location is good in a very nice village setting. The single room was a good size and comfortable. The bar and restaurant staff weren't the most attentive nor that knowledgeable. I tried the nachos but they came cold and the coffee at breakfast was also only luke warm.

Room was a little dated. Bar and restaurant was good (except for one night when the chef didn’t turn in so there was no food). Staff friendly and helpful

The hotel is an old coaching house. There is a lot of character and charm. From the beamed ceilings to the uneven floors. My room was perfect for a single person or a couple. The village is very quaint with plenty restaurants, pubs and shopping. Very close to main roads.

Good location & could be an amazing place but needs a deep clean (room & public areas). Staff on the whole were friendly & accommodating.

The history is great. The help with my case up a fire escape to get to my room was non-existant. I'm an 80 y.o. pensioner.
