WiFi was spotty and slow - that was my only issue. Otherwise, it was a normal budget hotel with friendly staff and easy access right off the highway.

Filthy walls and floors. Looked like blood and grease spatters on wall. Fridge did not work. People apparently LIVE there. Saw a couple of people in the premises walking around high.

I didn't like the thermostat being locked & needed to have a staff member come in to change it.

Stayed inside by the pool, clean safe and comfortable. Staff was very proficient, great place for the price.

I was afraid to go barefoot in the room. The rug was filthy. Couch should have been replaced years ago. Not an inviting appearance.

Whirlpool not working. Temperature of room not controllable. Desk clerk care more about playing on his phone, than taking care of us.

Been coming here for 30 yrs, and its slowly declined the entire time. The units on the backside of the property are filled with perma-renters. I'll have to stay elsewhere in the future unfortunately. Thanks

Carpet was very dirty and needed replacing. Electrical outlets worn out. Parking lot lighting is poor and lot needs resurfacing.Two outside doors did not lock overnight. Staff not friendly.

Was once again disappointed that there hot was down. 3rd time staying here that was not working. A big reason why i booked here so i could enjoy sitting in hot tub after my 12 hr shifts at the job. Everything else was pretty good. Found out 1 side of bed was more comfortable then the other.

Make sure that if you get a good rate on Expedia that you pay before you get there. They charged us a different rate than what the Expedia total was and wouldn't adjust it accordingly. Also, there are no local channels to watch on their tv.

The TV did not work well. Very bad picture and did not work at all the next morning. Carpet very dirty. No hair dryer. Otherwise the rest was fine.

Breakfast was poor in choices. Key to room would not work on 3 of our 5 nights. Pool closed one day for pump issue. Basically this is a hotel that literally ( you get what you pay for).

We were upgraded to poolside room. It was really quiet & the room was clean. The patio door was dirty, the blinds in office were dirty, the lights outside facing the sign were off so at night hard to find hotel, hot tub was not working.

It was easy to find and the staff was good. The only thing that was bad is that the air conditioning could not be regulated by us and it was very cold in there. Probably will not stay again. Connie

The room smelled like a smoker had been there in the past or some odd-smelling cleaning solution was used for cleaning. The queen-sized beds promised were really double or standard-sized beds. The mattresses were very soft and seemed cheap and old. The room seemed dated for the premium price that was charged for it. I know there's not a lot of competition in Waupaca, WI for motel rooms, but this room was definitely not worth the price I paid. We won't be staying here again. This motel didn't live up to the Econolodge brand name!

Horrible experience! Stains all over the rug and chairs. I didn’t even want to sit in the chairs. Blood on the sheets. Will NEVER stay at an Econolodge again!!

Solid 4/10 no wiggle room. First, the best part about this place is the hard working son behind the desk. He is friendly and a good translator. Also, cool pool table. Next, every inch of this place needs to be scrubbed and re-scrubbed until it’s natural displeasing odor is gone for good. People staying in a new place want it to be clean and smelling good. The bedding needs to be replaced, the mattresses need to be updated, and the tile in the bathroom needs to be whitened. Lastly, I am CERTAIN, there are drug lords living at this property, specifically the upstairs of the 200-block rooms. I was going to inform the police, but I needed more evidence and didn’t have the appropriate amount of time. Seize them! Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again unless it has a massive update that improves the quality of the place. Thank you.

Limited supplies in the room. Had to ask the staff for everything we needed. Staff did not readily comprehend English. Room smelled like chlorine from the pool.

Property was dated which we expected. Rooms were clean, pool was clean, and hot showers were all a plus.

the property was unkept - outside was not maintained well with weeds growing around the building, filthy windows, etc. The atmosphere did not feel inviting. The room was very dated.

We stayed at the Econo Lodge in Waupaca WI for 2 nites, June 16 and 17. The Expedia itinerary number is 72572912022843. Expedia sent a confirmation stating that the price would be $108 per night. When we went to check in, the hotel informed us that the total was 291.83, or about 145.92 per night!!! They wouldn't give us the Expedia price, even tho we showed them our itinerary. We've booked quite a few times with Expedia in the past and never had that problem before. But the hotel clerk wouldn't budge. He said, "That's what it is!" So we had to pay it. We feel that the hotel owes us a refund for the difference in price.

Well, the good news was the room was clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable. The pictures of the property used on the web site must have been taken 15 years ago. the grounds and "landscape" look like they have been totally neglected. The "continental breakfast" consisted of two types of cereal, bagels, coffee, and juice. The amenities in the room were sparse. about a third of the TV channels listed on the coffee stained program guide were not available. Now if this would have been a 60/70 dollar a night room I would be a little more forgiving but at over 120.00 not so much.

This property was fine for a single night sleep while traveling. Bed was comfortable but the bathroom needs updating. Tub/shower stained. Toilet seat missing anchor bolt. No wash/face cloth.
