- Room was dated and not 100% clean. - Room service was disappointing.- The property is located in the middle of nowhere with a construction site next to it. - No warm welcome at check-on. - Concierge don't have solid info about the East Lake ('just tell the driver you want to go to East Lake, they all know where it is.'). - Ladies who work at the lounge are the only thing that was nice about my stay, but it's not good enough. Food at lounge was lukewarm, unrecognisable with heavy sauce, and lack of vegetarian option. I am a loyal customer of Renaissance but this one really let me down.

I have requested a non-smoking room in my reservation but it turns up they have only smoking room for me. The manager do not offer any compensation or helps to solve the issue. Breakfast is good. Hotel already passed it good days and need renovations. Good location. They need to improve the hospitality

Porter asked for tip, it’s not common in China.
Room is quite dry and hot, you can’t adjust the air conditioner or open the window.

The hotel feels a little aged, but makes up by having huge rooms and huge bathrooms. The staffs are also very friendly, I even got a birthday cake sent to my room by the hotel which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is also about 3 blocks away from the subway station, so not bad. The hotel is also close to the DongHu lake and its parks, great escape for summer!

I had a great stay, it was a bit far from my business location. However for a person from Canada a 45 minute commute is not too bad.Room service was great. Enjoy the cheese cake.

Hotel was well maintained and rooms spacious . The bar had live entertainment at night which was a bonus. Breakfast was great but perhaps a little expensive. Staff were friendly and had good english

The hotel was reasonably good. However this was not to the standards of Marriott.

I stayed in this hotel because it was one of the "official" hotels for a show in the International Expo Center in Wuhan, and offered a free 20-30 min shuttle to to show, however, its not 20-30 minutes, but about 60-75 minutes. Its also far away from the airport, about 45-50 min by taxi. So consider this if you are visiting Wuhan for a show. Other than this, the hotel its great. Very clean, very comfortable, and the staff is super friendly. The rooms are large and spacious. The hotel seems a little bit old, but its well kept. I stayed in one of the executive floors, which I recommend because they have the executive lounge with a great breakfast, food most of the day with snacks, and a very nice free dinner as well.
The buffet breakfast its really good, offering lots of options western and chinesse as well. The restaurant for lunch or dinner its also good, but I would not say amazing. But for a Hamburger or salad, its ok.
The Chinese restaurant in the hotel was ok, I preffered all the alternatives around the hotel area.
The area around the hotel is a middle class neighborhood, absolutely not touristic, and its fantastic. Lots of chinese restaurants which are packed with locals. The food its extraordinary in every restaurant I visited. Forget about western food, there is no fast foods around.
Also, there is an amazing park witha lake about 10 minutes jogging from the hotel, so if you want to go for a run, this is very nice as well. I felt very safe every

Excellent hotel and would stay there again if given a choice. The staff was polite, helpful, and fast-responding to any question or problem that we had. Many of the staff talked English which was very helpful.
Laundry service was a bit expensive but with fast turn around. Beds were comfortable and room and bathrooms were clean. Towels were fluffy and large.
Breakfasts were delicious and varied in items from local Chinese, to Japanese, to Western cooking.
Concierge services were fast and on the spot.
Overall, I would warmly recommend this hotel to anyone considering it.

overall, it was a very nice hotel,BUT.
There was a Chinese Government meetings going on there. I was moved from my first room, which was too hot . to a different room that was too cold.
When the Officials checked in to hotel, my friend and I were forced to go through security, X-ray our belongings and metal detectors.
I would like to have been notified before I made my reservations or at least before I left.
They did know before hand. I was told when I checked in.
Under other circumstances, It may have been a great stay.

Great room, very comfortable. Wide range of western food choices at the breakfast buffet - among the best I've seen in China. Check out process was quick. Location excellent for business in central Wuhan, but if business is in the Optical Valley then expect about an hour drive. Even so, the stay is worth the drive.

The staff was very helpful with my problem at the airport and trying to get my bag to me at the hotel. They never stop trying to find my bag. I appreciate that. In short it was a nice experience at your hotel and with your staff. Keep up the good work, I would stay at your hotel anytime. Thank you.

It's defenitely a nice hotel with very friendly english speaking staff.
Health club offers many services but I'm not a fan of bathing caps so I didn't try the swimmingpool.
Live Philipin entertainment every evening in lobby bar.
The biggest issue for me is that bars and night clubs are too far away, but there are some nice Chinese restaurants round the corner.
