Casa Arequipa

The place is great! Wonderful management, services, and spotless place. People are professional, accomodating, smiling and graceful. We wish we had this lodging experience everywhere we travel! The place by itself is an architectural delight inside and outside, and the generous breakfasts on the patio a must to do. Our bedrooms 8 and 10 were quiet and well isolated. We were helped very friendly upon arrival. We arrived in Arequipa with the nightbus from Nasca so we went to the hotel hoping to be able to store our luggage until we could check in. The very friendly hotelmanager, Eddy, told us that our room was available already. This was really welcome, we could have a shower after our nightly ride and explore the city al freshened up. The hotel itself is really nice, beautifully decorated and the rooftop terrace has a nice view on the snowcaps of mount Misti. There is no bar but you are allowed to take your own drinks to the rooftop. The breakfast is no buffet but was served to our table, eggs, fresh fruit, tea or coffee and the best fresh bread we had in Peru so far. In general very fair value for money, fairly quiet street, it's a 15 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas. We were able to leave our luggage for a night when we did a tour through the Colca Canyon and got all the time we needed to reorganise our luggage when we returned. Amazing place! Had the best stay here. The staff was the kindest we have met in Peru, and were super helpful when we asked to switch rooms due to a party next door one of the nights. The breakfast was also great with delicious coffee, fresh fruit and the staff made eggs our way. Can't recommend this enough!
