Everything was great but we did have someone try to enter our room at 12am & wake up my girlfriend & scare the crap out of us. Great location & great customers service!

It was great but loud cars at night.

We were very pleased with our stay. Room was extremely spacious and features like the bath tub were ample. You could say the tub could sleep 2. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful but they weren't often at front desk. We were unsure how to check out sonwe just left our room key and hoped for the best... location is prime. We had a lovely evening walking around trying various eateries. Spoonbills right across the street was delightful. They need to update their photos. They made some much needed updates like removing carpet from the rooms. Carpet still exists in the lobby area upstairs and looks likes it needs to be replaced as well.
Breakfast options were enjoyable but minimal. They forgot one of our items, if we understood the ordering method correctly. The order sheet could use a redesign to accomidate multpie orders easier. We will definitely be back for arcadian fashion week.

We love staying at the Juliet when we visit Lafayette. The downtown location is perfect for walking to bars, restaurants and events. The staff is welcoming and we have always had excellent customer service. It is an older hotel with a lot of charm and character.

Nice and quiet. Clean too.

This hotel in the heart of downtown Lafayette is charming!! I originally booked the hotel because of its location. You seriously can walk to some of the best restaurants in the area and enjoy the whole downtown vibe. If you’re thinking about attending Festival International, book now!
Some of the previous reviews made me second guess my reservation, but honestly, it has the character and charm of a bygone era. Though not yet of the caliber of the Galvez in Galveston, it has the potential of becoming so. We stayed in room 206. It was very clean, had wood floors, amazing old marble, layers of crown molding a trayed ceiling, and an oversized tub/shower. If you stay, occasionally in a B&B, then you should be able to look past the negativity of some of the reviews posted here and find the diamond in the rough that is the Juliet.

This was a great little find. Did not know there was a hotel in downtown Lafayette. You can walk most anywhere downtown from the hotel. It is right across the street from the Rock-n-Bowl. This is a great place to stay anytime but especially if you are attending something in downtown Lafayette. I would highly recommend.

The property is conveniently located in downtown Lafayette. It’s a quaint, small boutique hotel. The staff was friendly and the hotel was quiet. I didn’t find that there were any amenities – no restaurant no bar but all of that was within walking distance. The lighting in the room was very poor. The room size was very large and very clean. The only other thing I didn’t like was the TV. You could not access any live stations.

This hotel has a lot of potential. In a wonderful, charming, small downtown area. Some upgrades to the main carpets-maybe invest in wood or tile, would improve smell and visible damage.
The pool is in need of help. It’s accessible to the public, not actually locked up (this has to be addressed). It’s an in inviting setting but a mural on the back wall, some lighting. Music etc could make it charming. Staff were incredibly nice! The bones are beautiful!! Would really love to see this place succeed!

Hotel Juliet in downtown Lafayette promised a picture of comfort and hospitality but delivered an entirely different reality. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, it was as though cleanliness had taken an indefinite leave of absence. The decor, which might have once held a certain vintage charm, now felt like a museum of neglect, with each piece of furniture telling a tale of a bygone era when standards were not just optional but altogether absent.
The room itself was an anthology of horrors. The pervasive smell of vomit emanating from the air conditioner was a jarring welcome, a sharp contrast to the usual sterile, sometimes overly fragrant greeting one expects. The carpet squelched with a questionable dampness beneath my feet, suggesting a swamp-like ecosystem thriving beneath its threads.
As for the furniture, to say it would be rejected by Goodwill would be an insult to second-hand shops everywhere. Each piece seemed to compete for the title of the most stained, worn, and forgotten. The mere thought of resting upon any of them required a suspension of disbelief and a strong stomach.
To call Hotel Juliet a 'dump' feels almost generous. It is a place where expectations go to wither, where the mere concept of comfort is as foreign as the idea of a clean surface. I left feeling in dire need of a shower and a refund, neither of which I held any hope of receiving. This hotel is not a diamond in the rough; it is simply rough. I cannot recommend this establishment, not ev

I really liked the location, the people and the property as a whole. Bed wasn’t so comfy and pillows could be more comfy as well.

Stained sheets, woke up to bathroom flooded and shower water scolding hot as taps not working properly.
Thread bare bath mat. Dirty round the edges.

This is a great hotel in a historic building, in old Downtown Lafayette. You can walk the entire downtown area. There are several restaurants near so there is no need for a vehicle. There are two places to eat literally across the street. I ate at both, and they are both fantastic. The old Conoco garage across the street has a full bar and outside seating as well.
Don't expect this hotel to be a Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, etc... Don't be a princess. I think the expectations of the negative reviewers may have been too high, This is a privately owned hotel. It is in a Historic building. It is in a great downtown location. I made my reservation on Expedia about 30 minutes before my arrival. I got the room for $100. WELL worth the money.
I think they got rid of the carpet in the rooms. My room had what appeared to be new laminate floors. The AC worked fine, the bathtub was huge, the toilet worked fine. The rooms are larger than what you would normally find in a big hotel chain.
So what if you have to ask for items. They don't have a huge staff to wait on you hand and foot. It's almost like staying over at someone's home. Just go, enjoy yourself, and try not to be so sensitive. Explore the Downtown area. Read the historic plaques on the buildings. Buy something from the local shops.
I found my stay at the Juliet to be very enjoyable. It's only 10 minutes from the airport (LFT) I will stay here again during my next trip to Lafayette.

great location and nice staff

Pros - location , Location, Location
Free on site parking
Cons - someone with design experience needs to update and relocate decor all esp the floors/carpet in rooms

Quaint and shabby chic but, needs some updating. Loved big tub. Tv service via Hulu never worked due to password issues. Road side rooms are noisy due to late night bar traffic.

We were on a road trip and tried to avoid chain hotels wen possible. The Juliet is a small Boutique Hotel, near Lafayette old town, so you can leave the car and walk around for diner or other business. As said in many comments, it may need some remodeling, the carpets are old, but they are clean, as are the bathroom, the bedroom. Our room had a mini fridge and a microwave, which is convenient. This is a place we recommend and would return to when stoping in Lafayette.
Next door the cage Carpe Diem offers many breakfast options - the croissants and the coffee were delicious.

I have to go to Lafayette a few times a year for business. After this last trip, the Juliet sealed the deal on being my go to spot when in Lafayette. The staff is so warm and kind. My wife and baby stayed and she loved the coffee shop next door and how close so many things were. I will be back every time

This hotel has WONDERFUL. service. Everyone I interacted with was super friendly and welcoming. I’d absolutely stay here again.

The Juliet is an older boutique hotel so she has some cosmetic flaws but I love her location and her old bones. The room was large and the bed was comfy. I loved the views from our room, the presidential suite, sits right where Jefferson and Lee meet and make the turn. The garden tub was nice to have and the humidifier in room was nice. Remember that the room has some wear and tear but for convenience and location, I think it was worth it.

Called the property after my flight was cancelled and left a voicemail, no one returned my call. Messaged through Expedia, no response. Charged for a room I never saw or stayed in. Can't rate the room or the property just the customer experience.

Nice price for our stay

The area was nice, felt safe and was very walkable. The front desk staff were friendly. But the condition of the property and room was much more disheveled than charming. I killed a large cockroach in my room the first morning. Also, I never saw a single housekeeping staff person, and I don't believe my room was attended to in the 4-day/3-night stay. But maybe that's just routine practice. for stays under a certain time.

Very nice and it was what I was expecting

Although conveniently located, the hotel itself was not what I was expecting. I booked the master suite here since my usual Lafayette hotel was full, and it was a huge mistake. The carpets were horribly stained and the sheets looked as if they had been there for weeks. A strong mildew odor gave me such a migraine I packed my stuff and checked out a little after 12:00a.m. When checking out all the woman at the desk could say was “well you ain’t gettin no money back.” Which I replied “that’s fine.” I would NOT recommend staying here.

It's nice in that it's the only hotel in downtown Lafayette so it's convenient. Rooms can use some updating such as light fixtures, and adding some USB chargers, but they are clean and comfortable.

Very clean large room. Everything was perfect and the in town location was ideal for enjoying night life.

We love The Juliet. Very quaint.

Price was higher than my usual stay which wasn’t a huge deal, except there was no breakfast this time and the refrigerators have been removed from room. The location is awesome…huge plus!

Hotel is in great location, walking distance to some fun places. Room was very nice, clean, and comfortable.

This hotel is very French in appearance and design. While it could use some refurbishments, it is in a nice location and it right in the heart of the city.
2.0
The hotel is a bit dated but holds an old-world charm. Check in was pretty seamless and quick. I only stayed there overnight, and it was comfortable enough. The room, bedding and bath towels were clean. My only complaint was the coffee machine wasn't working, other than that it was a good stay. The hotel is centrally located with lively restaurants and shops steps away. We had brunch at The French Press, a short walk away, highly recommend.

The hotel was VERY dirty and run down. The carpets are all in need of repair, the walls need painting and there were visible fluid stains in the room where we stayed. I'm sure that it used to be nice. I liked the location but, I will definitely not return. The elevator had a sticky film and it reeked of alcohol and vomit. I didn't feel comfortable walking anywhere in the room without shoes.
3.0
I spoke with someone over the phone twice about 2 different things...both times I felt like I was bothering them and wasting their time. There is not much info about any kind of amenities..but I did see people online say that room setvice breakfast was available. When I called to ask about it I was told "we don't do that." The hotel was convenient to what we were doing that evening, but unfortunately our experience was subpar. This hotel could be so much more than what it is.
